^Pretty sure I argued with you over your review.

To each their own, but I know to ignore anything you ever post in regards to your opinion on anything involving comedy. If I had the opportunity to serve you pasta, I'd spit in it.

Ignoring all my comedy opinions and spitting in my food seems a bit extreme simple because we disagreed over how funny a broadway show was, but sure, whatever you need to do

I'm just wondering if this is your way of ignoring me? Kinda odd...

Look, I ain't mad.

But if I loved a restaurant that I really felt was part of me and my life, I wouldn't be calling for it to close just because the food got bad. I wouldn't even stop going there, because that's how important the restaurant is to me. But I would probably still be critical.

I should be able to reflect on its quality --- just like the obvious declined quality of The Office.

I think a lot of us put up with a lot of shit for different reasons. The reason I have put up with this show is because it meant a lot to me in its first seasons (it was actually so good that it kept me until this point, out of loyalty). I'm just at the point where I feel like the whole show is dead to me, and that makes me upset.

I literally clapped and cheered at the end of the second season finale

that was as perfect of a season finale as I've ever seen

I really liked it too, actually

I quit watching the show at the end of season 6, just couldn't continue

^See, I wanted to go there, but if you didn't watch the episodes leading up to Steve Carrell's departure then I don't know what to say.

this isn't really on topic, but I'm still not sure if I've ever seen a TV episode that's better than the UK Office's Christmas special/series finale

Not long after Jim and Pam got together the show started going downhill. It had a good formula that worked, then they screwed with the formula and fucked it six ways from Sunday. Most shows have a shelf-life of just three or four seasons IMO. There are exceptions (The Simpsons for example) but those are rare.

I guess I'll be in the minority of those that liked it. Had a few lol moments and some character development as it makes its way towards the end:

Good to see the acknowledgement of the camera crew once again. Some might find the turtle scene to be mean, and Kevin is still an idiot, but that part made me smile. Andy realizing how Michael hated Toby was nice, as well as seeing that type of hatred towards Nellie. Creed gets his golden moment. Dwight still more cartoon than man, but I'll take the good with the bad.

I didn't think the episode was as bad as some ITT are saying. It wasn't great, but I enjoyed it and thought it was pretty funny.

is my U-Verse DVR the only one whose "The Office" season subscription never carries over from season to season? I've missed the last 3 season premieres because i have to reset it to record. it's the only show that does this

The only parts of that episode that got a chuckle were Kevin and the Turtle moronic but worked, but the biggest laugh was Creed at the end.

Obviously this show is not good now.

I wonder if it would've turned out better without the writers strike in season four. They were trying to develop Jim and then boom... strike. The season where Jim was boss was an awful retry and then they just ignored any development at all until now.

This happens to me all the time. My U-Verse DVR will randomly skip recording episodes in the middle of the season too. Only show it does this for.

I'm still watching this, more out of habit than anything else. But I thought "Asian Jim" was really funny and I also chuckled at "Nellie... get your wrinkly old balls in here!"

I mean, there are "funny" parts to this show. But I feel like they're incredibly brief, like something Creed does/says or the brief clip at the beginning that has nothing to do with the rest of the show (like Asian Jim). The rest of it is just painful to watch.

Who the fuck thinks adding Nellie was a good idea?! Most annoying fucking character ever.

^Agreed, though I'd downgrade your "funny" to "mildly amusing." Might or might not crack a smile during an episode. At this point I'm only watching it since it's the last season and because it's a lead in to P&R, which has also fallen off horribly. Seems like all the NBC comedies had about 3 seasons worth of good material, then struggled to come up with stuff. I stopped watching 30 Rock since it got to the point where it wasn't funny enough to to warrant tuning in when it airs on the wrong side of Up All Night. Up All Night didn't even have 3 episodes worth of good material. I'd rather they bring back Outsourced.

likewise, buddy

also, Erin totally left a trail of piss as she ran away laughing

and this was one of the rare times in the past season and 1/3 that they let Andy be Andy and not Michael Scott-lite

When Creed mouthed "That's what she said" after Dwight Jr said "You couldn't possibly be making all that magic with just your mouth" I just about lost it.

so what happened between nellie/toby? I'm pretty sure i'm just not taking the time to think it through. Did she end up telling him that she didn't like him? Or is it just a cliffhanger to see on the next episode?
