i'm nostalgic as fuck for Robocop. I had the entire toy line and used to watch the original over and over (my parents didn't censor much). I thought this trailer looked great. I'm not expecting any award winning scripts here. Just a good action movie.

I think it looked good, but I agree he looks too human. It just looks like a suit. Something about the original robocop makeup made it look more believable that the face was attached to the robot.

IIRC the original robocop the only part that survived was the head/brain. the entire body was robotic. You can tell early on here that he still has several human body parts combined with the suit including his torso and one arm. so maybe that's what they're going for.

maybe it's an homage to the original... when they were building him in the original they saved a limb or two, and once the boss found out they got rid of it and made him all robotic. (we never SAW this... it was from the murphy-perspective shots.)

Whatever happened to people just going into a science fiction movie and enjoying a mindless, unrealistic plot where robot cyborgs kill people and blow stuff up. I honestly don't give two fucks about his hand or the change of direction the film is taking. It's a different take on the story. Some will hate it and some won't. I do wish it was rated R though.
