FWIW, all 'snow' had cleared up -- Sunday was a windy, clear day. The outfield would have still been pretty wet though. I never heard the official reason we cancelled though.

It would have been miserable out there. I think the wind chill was in the low 20s. Not saying that is the reason or should be a reason, but it would have sucked.

The fact that he lands on his back is what is amazing to me. Nearly 99.9% of catches like that, the guy lands on his face/belly. Williams actually managed to lay out, catch the ball, and do an almost complete flip all in air. Freaking nuts...

Defeated UMBC 5-3 yesterday after trailing 3-1 after 2. Easley only lasted 1/3 inning after walking in a run after loading the bases. The bullpen continued it's form allowing 1 run the rest of the way. DJ Thomas got the win and Overman got the 2 inning save. Only highlights offensively was a triple by Turner followed by an RBI single from Brett Williams. State score 3 runs off UMBC wild pitches.

State takes on Florida Atlantic today at 5 pm with Rodon scheduled to start.

State gets a run in the 10th and defeats FAU 2-1. Rodon had 16 strikeouts and Wilkins picked up the W. Turner led off the 10th with a double and advanced to 3rd on an error. FAU then intentionally walked Williams and Austin. Senay hit a grounder to 2nd, but the throw home was off and Turner scored the winning run.

FWIW: FAU is picked to win the Sun Belt.

State's final game at the beach is vs Coastal at 5 pm.
