too late of a game for east coast fan to stay up for...

makes me wonder who will be less tired / more motivate for the next two games after 19 friggin' innings?

Two of three @NYY with strong outings from the young SPs bodes well for us. Beane's less hits, more home runs formula also helping us squeak out the Ws

Too bad Coco won't be back until month end

Quote :
"Balfour is an Australian, the son of a former professional rugby player, and he plays baseball as if it's a contact sport. He storms in from the bullpen like a Marine taking a hill who doesn't care if the other guy knows he's coming. Balfour starts screaming about the time he throws his last warm-up pitch and stops about the time he gets in his car to drive home."

Yeah 2/3 Ws against the Yanks on the road helps with the mojo.

the sweep in Cleveland really hurts. We were so close and only a Strike call away from winning two of em. Road trips

the sweep does hurt, but what sucks is that obvious Rosales homerun not counting. did you see the replay? such horseshit!

How Angel Hernandez still has a job as umpire is unbelievable. Sadly MLB will do nothing and Hernandez will still be a crew chief. He has a short fuse too and looks for confrontation and will run a player/manager quickly as well.

I mean I'm upset about the call, but the A's really need to get it together offensively- they had the bases loaded in the 9th and NOTHING. Injuries have pretty much neutralized a red hot start and they can't afford to get behind the Rangers any more than they already are...

I think the AL West has supplanted the AL Central as baseball's worst division

that may be, but we just beat Texas 5-1

seems like the bats are wakign back up... definitely a solid HR hitting team. Had a few good chances to run up the score on Darvish already tonite, but no dice yet.

worried about our pitching though -Bret Anderson seems like the next Rich Harden: tons of talent, but always has an injury of some sort

the fact that we are beating up on divisional foes is good

the fact that we aren't really beating anyone else (recent Twins sweep aside) is not good

will be a very interesting season indeed

looking pretty good again

few things more satisfying than beating the Giants in back to back games though

more importantly, just 2.5 back of TEX and in the 2nd WC spot if the season ended today...

something tells me the latter half of the series in SF will be rougher

Depends on which Lincecum/Zito shows up.

I think the A's have a good chance of sweeping tbh

I was in the city last night watching the game at a Giants bar with some of my friends who were A's fans. So many bitter, butthurt, crybaby Giants fans that acted like somebody killed their dog when they lost Really would like to make it out to the game this afternoon to see the A's sweep at AT&T, but I've got too much work to do

Plenty of season left - if we lose colon that is a pretty big loss. Wonder if Bret Anderson will contribute at all this year?

yeah - yesterdays loss was painful.
Really shouldnt lose when both AJG and Cespeded go off like that.
We'd be tied with TEX right now (though they are rolling @BOS)

He's got to be the surprise 3B of the year - really hopes he gets all-star consideration

agreed. only donaldson will make it assuming he keeps this pace up. if he somehow gets ousted by a more popular team's 3B, then we'll have to sent grant balfour

Oh and, from June 13, 2012 to June 13, 2013, the Oakland A's are 108-60.

Still fighting, although I doubt MLB will be overturned:
http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/9399631/san-jose-sues-mlb-vote-oakland-athletics-potential-move

As an NC-based A's fan, I just want them out of the current money-bleeding shithole and into a new park where Revenue can be raised to compete with LAA from a salaries perspective...

does this shit still happen -or was it just last year? Definite correlation between the Bernie Lean and the 2nd half winning streaks:

Yea, Balfour will only break Eck's record for consecutive saves this season... no biggie

I gave up on purely performance-based Allstar selection a long time ago. ESPN/large markets own it all...
