well, I think that for there are just as many $20 wines tasting like $100 as there are $100 tasting like $20, but if you had to go by averages then I think that you would definitely taste the difference.

Wine to me is in a class of luxuries that are worth the dollar. Typically Jackets, cars and wines are usually worth the investment.

I guess if you can afford it sure, but if you are a paycheck to paycheck type it is really nice to get rid of that sometimes 200$ bill per month. Plus I hardly ever used it.

i just have an auto billpay sent to my dad every month. You have to go family plan with cell phones.

$50/month for data plan / unlimited texting. I dont have that many minutes but i never talk on it and if i do its usually someone that has verizon or is in my circle.

^ This is what separates people like you from people like me (unless you are trolling). When you take parents out of the situation, which is what happened to me, life becomes much tougher. For me with no family plan, a fancy smart phone with internet access was 180+ per month after all of the taxes and extra charges.

Muscadine wines, fruit wines for that matter have their place. Just a lot of people are snooty about anything labeled "wine" if it didn't come out of a grape. Most people who turn their noses up at sweet wines usually consider wine drinking to involve multiple glasses. Yeah, I'd be sick of sweet wine too if I needed more than one. If I'm having one glass, then every type of wine or alcoholic beverage for that matter has their place.

I mean, if you're going to thumb your nose at muscadine wines or sweet varietals, are you going to thumb your nose at ports too? Tell me a cigar and port isn't masculine.

if it's your thing, go for it, but there's better wine to be had if you're looking for it

I second this: if you're drinking quality Rieslings, there are actually a lot of good ones that have more floral and fruit notes without being toothachingly sweet. Same goes for wine like Zinfandel: the good ones are very fruity, not sweet.

i never did in the past. in fact i hated sweet wine... usually went with a cab sav, but for some reason i enjoy this sweetness. I still can't stand most sweet white wines.
