Repost from bottom of 1st page:

I see people/experts are jumping on the Tavon Austin & Golden Tate bandwagons already. Only a matter of time before they aren't worth their value.

Also, I've participated in a few mock drafts already testing out my #11 overall position in one of my PPR leagues. So far, each draft has been VERY RB heavy in the first few rounds. At my spot, I was considering a RB/WR combo in the 1st two rounds, but I'm not so sure now. I'm thinking my early strategy is to get Megatron IF he falls that far. If not, then just take a shot at the best two RBs I can get. Problem is after the top 9 RBs, I'm not totally in love with any that are usually left (Jackson, Forte, CJ2K, Ridley, MJD). Thought about going Morris/Ridley or reaching further for Murray and/or Bush, but it's still early.

WR is still pretty deep, like QBs. TE has a huge drop off after Graham (and Gronk), so I'll probably just wait on TEs.

Anybody here play in a 2QB league? I actually play in a 2QB, PPR league and that combination really levels out the depth among the different positions. I have the 3rd pick and am considering Rodgers or Brees there because I feel they have a much higher floor than any of the 2nd RB tier after Peterson (Foster, Charles, Rice, Mccoy, Martin, Spiller, Lynch). At the 4 spot, I would actually consider Megatron safer than those guys as well, though it's debatable.

Yep. Philadelphia Collins ran through the playoffs with victories over Steve French and Immovable Object. The Green Bastard managed a 4th place finish.

pass td = 6 pts, start 1 qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, 1 rb/wr, te, d/st, k

We just modified it, a lot of the members are out of the state. So we numbered each cup on the bottom, mixed the cups up, and had a ping pong ball with each team name on it. Had a couple people throwing, and whichever cup your team ball landed in was your pick.

I'm in a pretty standard scoring, 10-team keeper league, and need help on my keepers. Keepers take up first 5 rounds if you keep all five. Keep 2 max per position.

My potential keepers:

QB:
Cam
Stafford

RB:
Trent Richardson
Steven Jackson
Chris Johnson

WR:
Randall Cobb
Wes Welker
Reggie Wayne

I think you keep Cam, Trich, Steven Jackson, and Cobb, and draft in the 5th round.

Cam over Stafford for legacy purposes I think is a good idea, I love Cam's stability and high floor that his running game gives him.

RBs:
I love the idea of Steven Jackson in Atlanta. He's been held back by the Rams for forever, and all those juicy chances at goal line is making me drool. Atlanta made Michael Turner into a premier RB for a while....Imagine Jackson in those situations. Plus he's great in the passing game. But he's old and giving up CJ2K in the draft or by trade is hard to do. Richardson is a stud, and great long-term I think.

WRs:
I know Cobb is a keeper, but the question is, is Welker worth the keeper? He's basically my #50 pick.

TLDR: Should I keep Jackson or CJ2K, and should I keep Welker?

First off, get at least two more people to join, if not 4 or 6. 10 team leagues are horrible. Everyone is loaded everywhere.

14 and 16 team leagues are too watered down for me, I'd rather not have to decide between starting Marcel Reese and Joique Bell at my flex spot every week

That's when you get creative with the standard rules and tweak them so typical crap players could be more valuable (like having return yards count).

Thanks for all the help, especially the part where you fail to address any of my questions and instead tell me my league is horrible.

Look, I like the way things are running in this league. It's ok if you have a different opinion about the number of people a good league needs, but kindly fuck off unless you want to actually talk fantasy football. God forbid I try to foster a conversation about actual players.

^^^ haha, sorry slackerb, you are right.

Keeping Cam would depend on what other QBs are being kept. In a 10 team league I am sure you will be able to get a QB as good as Cam or better in the first probably, but he does have a big upside with the potential rushing points

I like TR and Jackson. TR is definitely keeper worthy as RBs shine in Norv Turner's offense.

Jackson is a keeper if you do PPR (the definition of "standard" league has changed as almost everyone does PPR now, so not sure what your "standard" is) and might even be one in non PPR as he will get a lot of goal line carries. The alternatives are Ryan on a sneak (not happening due to injury risk), Jacquizz (tiny), or the FB (starter is currently hurt). Also Jackson is a three down back, Turner wasnt.

Cobb I am not as high on as other people now that Jennings is gone, but if you get return yards then he could be worth it.

If PPR then Welker could be as well, but I dont see him cracking 100 anymore, more like 75-85 catches. Denver is just too loaded and Manning isnt a bitch like Brady.

Not knowing who else is being kept, what your draft spot is, if its PPR or not, if there are return yards or not etc. I personally would keep TR, Jackson and Cobb. And invite two more people to your league, or even better, 4.

That better?

Much better. Thank you.

Non-PPR. No return yards. I have last pick (champion), so #10,20,30,40,50,60,61, snake from there, etc. All other top 6-7 QBs will be kept. And maybe a few outside that.

Most everyone keeps their QB, and most people keep 3-5 keepers.

Justin, why are you more down on Richardson? And why def. keep Welker? Anyone think Chris Johnson over Steven Jackson or Richardson?

Basically, if I kept all of them, this would be my draft picks (ESPN ADP in parenthesis):

10: Richardson (10)
20: Jackson (16)
30: Cam (30)
40: Cobb (33)
50: Welker (34)
60: First Open Pick

Definitely a no on CJ1K over either Jackson or Richardson. Jackson has been a solid back on a bad team, just imagine what he can do if he stays healthy on the team that is usually top 2-3 in rushing attempts per season. And Richardson is a no-brainer: talent, good coach for RBs, solid OL, feature back and best player on that offense.

Daryl Richardson or Isiah Pead going to end up getting the bulk of the Rams carries?

Rams head coach said yesterday that he thinks Richardson will be the starter. That might be a situation to avoid altogether, however.

Yeah I think Richardson is starter but likely to end up being a RB By Committee unless one of them just takes off with it. All of the mocks I've seen back this up, Richardson always goes before Pead, but mostly flier type picks as a RB3/RB4 option hoping Richardson takes control of the job.

I'd never keep a QB in a keeper league...I'd try to trade for a better RB or maybe a good WR/TE and an extra draft pick

And I actually like Stafford better than Cam this year with Bush catching passes out of the backfield

But Cam has been a better fantasy QB than Stafford since he came into the league, so who knows...I just think the Panthers lean on the running game a little more this year, and they finish with a better record, but Cam's numbers are down a little. Meanwhile Stafford will probably throw for 5,000 yards

You'd never keep Aaron Rodgers in a keeper league?

You've got to be out of your goddamned mind. Maybe your keeper leagues are completely different from the one I'm in. IMO, if anyone in their right mind willingly gave up a first or second round player instead of keeping them, I'd think they are tanking for some weird reason.

Explain yourself good sir.

^^Sorry, I now realize he has like 5 keepers in which case yes, I'd keep Aaron Rodgers

But if it was only 2 or 3 keepers, I'd never keep a QB. Generally speaking I'd keep my top 3 RB/WRs. But I always like to load up on RBs and WRs in the first few rounds anyway. QB was a lot more valuable 10 years ago when Peyton Manning was one of the few QBs that was head and shoulders above the rest. Nowadays there isn't THAT much dropoff from Rodgers or Brees down to lower tier combos like Big Ben/Luck or Romo/Eli

put my name in the hat too for a TWW league.
just finished my first draft of the season.

PPR:
Tom Brady
Demaryius Thomas
Dez Bryant
Lance Moore
Matt Forte
Chris Ivory
Jason Witten
Shane Vereen
Giovani Bernard
Darrius Heyward-Bey
Josh Gordon
Jay Cutler
Ed Dickson
..and the rest

somewhat pleased with my team despite that drafting this early could mean torn ACL's for all even before the season begins.. but what are the odds of that

TT, I see. I'm like you in that I load up early and often on RB/WR, but when I'm keeping Cam with my 4th or 5th round pick, I think that's good value in a dynasty league.

Carry on.

ok ... $10 makes sense, and ill collect via paypal.

Draft is Sunday the 25th at 9pm. We will do a random order snake draft, but I will set it in advance - once all players are signed up - and enable draft pick trading.

Lets get a list of 12 interested before I start collections ... and a waiting list just in case. Please PM me your email address once you have added yourself to the list.

Using ESPN, and keeping standard rules/points in place.
