I have no problem with management signing komisarek like this. Because at 700k, he can ride pine. Its nearly league minimum. The only potential problem is with coaching misusing him. Like larose on the first line.

He played his best hockey under Muller. This won't be an issue. Muller is probably the biggest reason he is here.

Edit. lol, what Vulcan said.

Also pitkanen is fucking awesome

Overrated? Lazy as fuck? Get out of here with that shit. He's not a number one d man and when we put him in situations where he doesn't have to be, he is great. Especially considering that we have him on a steal of a contract for a dman with his skillset.

Hope he comes back from injury ok, that shit looked nasty

As much as I want to get excited about Khudobin as a strong backup, it's going to be a real different game with our D in front of him instead of Boston's.

Still, for the $1.5 million we spent today, it was a pretty good day for us. Harrison/Komisarek should be a great bottom pairing.

dobby was a little shaky at the start of last season but once he played enough games to get confident he was pretty good. I mean sure playing behind the bruin's d helps, but he bailed them out plenty. I think if you give him enough games he'll do well for you. pretty good price too.

Yes because all 5 of those teams have been consistently dominant over the last couple of decades

Up to five teams from one division could make the playoffs.

I should also remind everyone that we are in fact as it stands spending very close to the salary cap.

signed Lindholm

Rutherford could be trying to make a trade to get Ron Hainsey.

Schedule is out and we open up Friday, October 4 at home against Detroit. http://hurricanes.nhl.com/club/schedule.htm

We are in the "Metropolitan" Division. Pacific, Central, Atlantic, and Metropolitan. lol. I kinda like it.

Yeah I don't really give a shit about the division name, I could take it or leave it. My season long boycott of attending games is over, and it's time to start combing the schedule for road trip possibilities.

Our kind of signing lol. It's a two way deal so he'll go to Charlotte if he can't make the team.

You've got guys who will likely make teams taking two-way deals for league minimum. LaRose is done.

He'll either get a near league minimum two-way contract with a shitty team or he's gone to Europe.

Brent went to the KHL as well. A part of me feels bad for those guys that'll go to the middle of nowhere Russia to play. Must be miserable. Except for the money, of course.

It's a shame we can't re-sign every single UFA that has played here during the last 4 years so that we can continue our current run of dominance.
