^ & ^^ those are some web weaving motherfuckers - I'm always on the lookout for them during the summer when I'm mowing near the house/trees.

I hopefully killed about a 4" one with a golfball sized body yesterday. Sprayed the shit out of it.

If they're big enough to eat wasps, then they're A-OK in my book. Fuck wasps.

Was mowing down some high grass/weeds in the vacant lot next to my home. Saw something jumping around that I thought was a frog or toad. Nope it was a spider. Ran that bitch over with the mower before he tried to eat me and my family.

can anyone advise on a good spider book with picture ID and descriptions? Would like one in similar format to "Living Snakes of the World" by John M. Mehrtens (Aug 1987)

^I concur. Nothing more lovely than an evening walk through the yard into it's silky facial snare.
