I agree with face's post for the reasons that men and women cheat. What I don't agree with is the acceptance. Jealousy, insecurity, trust, guilt, etc are just too strong for open marriages to work 99% of the time (there is that 1% that could probably handle it).

the real reason that men and women cheat is that they are fucked up emotionally and insecure- they either weren't given enough love/affection growing up or they weren't taught right from wrong- or BOTH. these people either need another person wanting them, OR they want to chase after something they know they can't have to make themselves feel better about themselves.

i guess it's a lot easier to have a 1950s mentality about it and say, "well men are hunters/gatherers that have to sow their wild oats, while women are nesters and want the biggest alpha male to impregnate them and stick around and defend the cave," than it is to look in the mirror and acknowledge that you're a spineless, selfish, prick. last time i checked we were rational human beings, capable of making considerate choices, not dogs that will fuck anything that's warm.

the fact that he's basically patting himself on the back and bragging about how he's grown to accept the lifestyle of a perpetual cheater is pretty revealing. attention seeking at its finest, and all of you agreeing with him to maintain bro-code really need to stop pandering to his bullshit. if you don't believe in monogamy, that's one thing (it's certainly NOT for everyone), but don't act like this is some inevitable thing that's bound to happen.

the first priority is rebound sex. then a lot of drinking. I guess if you're a better person than me you go to the gym and stick with it, but for me that got old quick. then you realize you've been drinking too much and you're unlikely to find a quality girl meeting randoms at the bar. then you focus on your career and enjoying time with your friends. finally, you embrace being single and start living life for yourself and not just constantly pressuring yourself to replace your ex. the good ones come around when you expect it and they're particularly attracted to people who aren't desperately putting themselves out there making a relationship their number one priority in life.

edit: I didn't read Face's post before I wrote this but I agree with him when it comes to people that cheat. Many people simply don't have that mentality (unless copious amounts of alcohol are involved) and will actually break up with you to be with a different person minutes/hours/days/weeks later.

You can tell a lot about a girl by how quickly she let you fuck her, if she had cheated to fuck you (she'd do it to you, too) and how she acts in social situations (is she flirty or standoffish to guys that talk to her). If you meet a girl that's instantly DTF at a bar or something, don't think for a second that she won't do the same for the next guy that she's interested in. If you have to put in work to get to the first date, and go on several dates before getting it in - she's 99% less likely to cheat on you.
