Damn, I just read the Grantland article. I probably shouldn't have done that. I guess I'm just not that perceptive, and not that I was a superfan or anything, but damn that really kinda deflated it for me. Especially the "empty character" parts about Saul and Carrie (and I guess everyone else, for that matter).

I've liked Season 3 a lot more than Season 2. That being said, Brody's been the worst part of Season 3 so far - really wish he'd have blown himself up in the Season 1 finale.

I like this show and can overlook a lot of the plot holes. But it really bugs the shit out of me the lockheart/Sauls wife connection.

^^And I think you can tell how beautiful she is on the show...but obviously she's got a lot more clothes and less make-up on.

The last part of this season should be pretty damn entertaining. I also keep waiting for Carrie to drop the pregnant bomb...she's had plenty of opportunities to do it so far.

So, this might be nitpicky, but I was pretty annoyed that they can get Carrie and a couple of hired assassins within a couple hundred yards of Akbari when the "almost meeting" with Brody took place, so why couldn't they get a sniper in one of the buildings as well? Especially when they can track his movements with satellites and they have a man on the inside to tip them off of his schedule.

It just seems like such a contrived thing to use Brody to assassinate him when there now seems to be a dozen easier ways to take him out. Hell, Carrie with a pistol could have probably gotten the job done if she didn't care about dying. Or if you're gonna go that route, use a suicide vest. It's just annoying that they made a big deal about Brody having to get close to Akbari and him being the only person that could kill him, and then they go and show that that's really not the case and pretty much so any decent sniper could have taken him out.

I'm glad that Dana and the rest of the Brody family didn't feature much at all towards the end of the season, but to feature them so heavily early on and then just drop them entirely is weird. Really wish the show had wrapped up the whole Brody arc at the end of the first season.

So i just marathoned seasons 1-3 over the past 6 days, and i must say i'm quite impressed.

The acting is seriously on point, as well as the character development right off the bat. Seasons 1 and 2 were quite better than the 3rd imo.

I literally almost cried at the last 10 mins of the s3 finale. Like someone said earlier, it felt like a true series finale and i'm not sure how i will feel next season without brody since he was the best part of the show imo.

also honorable mention to mandy patinkin as saul for being one of the most likeable and charismatic characters on tv.

also honorable hatred to dana for being so hateable. i think i may even hate her more than i hated skylar from BB.

My thought while I was watching that scene was that jevodi might be somehow faking Brody's death. But after thinking on it for a few weeks there is no way in hell Brody is still alive. Had they had a curtain up, dropped it and Brody was hanging I wound say it would be easy to have him in a harness. But he was walked over to the crane in full view of a large group of people. What's his face's widow is the one that put the noose around his neck. There is no way in hell she would be a part in faking Brody's death. If benefits jevodi waaaaay more to have him dead than alive.

don't think this is possible. I think Skylar and Geoffrey from GoT are my two most hated by 1000.



can't wait to see the direction of this show in the next season. I don't think it will stay so good though. The passion behind Carrie and Brody's story arc is the core of the show. And unless Saul comes back, I just can't see it ending up quality

I was surprised Carrie wasn't flipping her shit and quitting the CIA because they gave Brody up. Maybe she doesn't know but I gotta believe Saul would have told her.

I'm interested to see what they've changed. Season 1 should've been the end of Brody and they should've started with a new plot line in season 2, seasons 2/3 ran the Brody/Carrie storyline to death.
