It's gotten to the point where I will no longer play on sessions with random people anymore. So many times I've had people wait outside Ammunation with a shotgun pointed at the door waiting to blast me when I step out, or snipe me from a block away when I pause the game to do something trivial. You have to be constantly moving, and constantly checking the map to watch out for other people, and that's just not the game that I'm interested in playing. Not when it costs $2k every time you die. They really need to have an option for non-PVP sessions or something for people that don't want to feel like they're in a permanent deathmatch.

I just tried to get on GTA online for the first time. Wouldn't let me do anything, kicked me out, and then advanced my offline story further along to stuff I hadn't even done yet. Luckily, it didn't save and I just quit and came back in to where I had it saved. How is that even possible? lol...won't be trying it again for a while.

the way that works for me is to load the normal story mode. once you've got control, go to the start menu and go to online and join that way. i've never gotten join directly into online to work

also you might need to do that delete the install file trick (can't confirm that'll work plus it'll take you 20 min to reinstall)

I finallygot on today. The only way I've seen that you can play this and have fun is to play with people you know. The open play lobbies with random people are nothing but driving around and running from people trying to kill you. I heard, what sounded like a 9 year old, cussing and talking about killing "ni****s" for 5 straight minutes. Made me sick

If you go to your phone and select random jobs it will put you in a race or deathmatch or whatever, can do those rank 1

I had the day off yesterday so I pretty much so did nothing but online races to gain cash and RP. Got enough money to buy the $400k apartment, plus fully upgrade vehicles from the Muscle, Motorbike, Sports, and Super class as well as fully trick out a Sabre Turbo just for fun. Plus I still have $640k in the bank which is over halfway to being able to buy the Adder. Online races are really the way to go for quick cash. You can get $6-10k every 2-3 minutes if you get in with the right group of people and you're halfway decent. Having an upgraded vehicle definitely helps. I hope they hurry up and add the online heists now that I have an apartment that allows you to plan them.

Just now I joined a random server and sat in my apartment watching other people on the server play. I watched two clanmates hang outside my apartment where 2-3 other people on the server were hiding out. They parked cars right outside the garage so people wouldn't be able to get out, and camped out waiting to kill people inside who were leaving. I guess everybody finds enjoyment in different things, but that seems like a lot of work to be a dick to random internet strangers. Surely there are easier ways to troll.

^its ALOT more fun when you have a group of people you know to play with. I played with a group of 10 guys that I know last night and had a BLAST. Nothing like running into a convenience store with 10 people to rob 1 guy, lol. Then the chaos of cops flying after 10 different cars.

Also, the races with like 10 guys are alot of fun. Its just more fun when you play with alot of people you know.

At each stop, he gets out and politely looks around, as if in appreciation, and then gets back in the chopper with me. No words are exchanged at all since neither of us has a microphone, but nothing needs to be said. After about 15 minutes of this going on, I take him to the top of the tallest building in the game. He goes to the edge and looks over the city. It's sunset, and it's beautiful. He's enjoying the view. It's serene. Before I know it, I have my pistol out and pointed at the back of his head. I ask myself "am I really different than all the other animals playing online here?" And as his limp body tumbled off the roof, I chuckled to myself and thought, "no, no I'm not any different." I wonder about what the other player must have thought as he saw his character betrayed on top of that building. I like to think it was a learning experience for both of us. Just search on youtube for GTA Online money glitches. You can get $200-$300k an hour pretty easily with little to no work. Or get good at racing and the money comes pretty quickly that way too.
