slapping a set of wheels on a vehicle with total disregard to styling of wheel versus car.

people trying to negotiate pricing of a vehicle for sale, simply because of the fuel it requires to drive/haul vehicle.

Yesterday I was coming home from work and these fuckes were parallel parked all along this residential side street that hits a main 4 lane medianed thoroughfare...parked so deep that the last car was probably 5 feet from the main road...so I turn down the residential street, and there is a car coming my way...some dumb bitch who can't back up...so I end up having to carefully backup into a fucking 4 lane road during rush hour afternoon traffic, because these fuckes want to shorten their walk by parking at the edge of an intersection...i really hate that

^^ Also, people who take the first/last park in a row of street side parking and don't pull all the way up to the "no parking" sign to create as much room as possible for the vehicles ahead of/behind them.

Part of it is fear of not being able to get out when someone screws you.

I don't have to worry about it much though.

Every time I see this one guy, he's all "yeah I'm going to do this, I'm going to do that"

quit talking about it and fuckin' do it. It's one thing when you're a poor teenager, but he's older, has a nice job, and constantly mentions how easy and how cheap it would be.

His '99 2.5RS is supposedly going to get some Legacy V6 engine or something swapped into it then he will proceed to pwn all.

I got yelled at by an old man when I drove the t-bird there with bird poop on the hood....

I'm like fuck dude I'm glad it's just on the hood... The roof is off....I could have had it on my head...

Also being a teenager is one thing but being an adult with family obligations... Some shit just comes first and it's not always the new supercharger or whatever you had hoped for.

Speaking of which the guy it was going to work on the electric bike for just hydro locked his dd

^What's the pet peeve in that statement? If you just bought a car it'll have 30-day tags. If you're broke but you gotta have some form of transportation, you buy a POS. So is your beef with poor people on the roads?

In my opinion, if you're gonna bring a sports car as run of the mill as an S2000 (there are usually 5+ at every C&C I've been to) then you better show up with a squeaky clean S2000 - if you're parked in the "spectator" area. Otherwise yeah, I'd look down on him too

Shit, some guy showed up one time with a dirty white 360 Modena - I looked down on him as well

^^It's a car show. The whole point is for people to come look at good looking cars. Not like we're all going to the track.

BJ, pollen this time of year is unavoidable so that always gets a pass. Same with in the winter when there was salt on the roads. Pass!

It wasn't supposed to be a show.

It was supposed to be people interested in cars mutually respecting what one another is trying to do with their cars. While consuming coffee.

It has turned into douchbag central.

Things that I consider being a d bag.
1. Assuming people want to look at your basically stock high production car.
It may be cool to you but if I can see 10 at any given dealer I don't care.
2. Walking around hating on anyone's car... No matter how hella flush the mods are I'm sure someone is interested in their work.
3. Bringing your exotic and looking down your nose at other less affordable but still cool cars.

Car Show "Cough Cough". Some of you people should show up, we can actually drink coffee and talk about the car snobs.

But it'll be a few months before I go again, even though I live less 5 mins from the Raleigh one. Too boring, too many kids, way too many car snobs, and I dont drive a Ferrari, so why bother.

That's not how it works IRL. Who buys a smoking car without knowing it's worn out?

These cars are purchased at auction for $700-$1300. Anything less than that and it might as well be scrapped for raw materials. They have man hours invested in the purchase and they're risking their cash to buy the car on the assumption that the smoking worn out engine is the only problem. They have equipment costs (truck + trailer, fuel, food) as well as a lot rental costs since you can't get a dealers license in NC without having a physical lot. They end up spending half a day or more buying the car as well as another half day or more cleaning the car and handling the easy fixes so that they can flip it for $1800-$2100. They lose money on some of the cars because they get it home and find out that the transmission is slipping, the rear end is howling at highway speeds, or it needs some other expensive fix. It's really not that much profit when you consider their expenses and risks. If they tore down the engine to rebuild it the car certainly wouldn't be sold for $1800-$2100. The fact is that these dealers are supplying cars that have a demand. They may be shit cars, but it's not a con if both parties know what they're getting for their money.

i don't see a problem with people bringing production cars, other fans of those cars will enjoy them and look at them. i don't do C&C but I go to plenty of BMWCCA meetups and those are all regular production cars, only a small few are anything special. We all still enjoy looking at each others cars, I still enjoy looking at regular e30's and e36's and talking with the owners and seeing what kinds of updates and fixes they have done and shit. C&C is more fun when its that, its pretty boring when its a shitty car show.

I haven't been in months due to scheduling conflicts. Might show up for June's.

Here's another pet peeve: Fake badging, like the one I saw in Charleston last weekend. Hey lady with the red Mercedes C300 w/sport pack - you're not fooling anyone with those C63 and AMG badges on your trunk. For starters just look at your whimpy exhaust pipes...

Radio host that talk the entire 15 min trip to work, and then play "my song" when I turn into my park. This forces me to find a reason to sit there for 5 mins and jam.

Lol fake badging is the worst as are fake scoops fake anything really.

The only time you should be putting zo6/cobra///m/ amg bumpers ,valences , hoods etc,on a car that wasn't one of those is because your car has been modified to be faster /better than the original and your need the cooling /downforce of the part.

If you are badging down.... Kudos...

I have a 2003 Toyota Corolla. Bought it brand new in 2002.

I reached 299,999 miles last year and the odometer just stopped. Apparently a known issue with Corolla and Matrix for that year.

In order to keep track of my miles I use my trip A to calculate engine miles and trip B for oil changes.

Pet Peeve: When people reset my trip meter! Especially when I get work done on it.

To prevent this from happening I keep a warning label next to the trip...

And I did lose an original hub cap and wanted to spray paint it but the husband wouldn't let me be that gangster and got these from autozone lol

She's been rode hard and put up wet, but I don't think she looks too bad for as old and high mileage as she it

I wouldn't worry about tracking the oil change intervals. Just change it every 5,000 miles on your other odometer...so when trip-A says 15,000, then at 20,000...and so on. If you're using full synth, you're easily good for 10k if you want.

^ Can't wait 5000 even with full synthetic. She doesn't keep oil that long anymore. I can maybe get 3000. At 4000 she is bone dry and I have to add extra oil until I can change it completely. She isn't leaking it but she's burning it somewhere.

Also Trip A and Trip B only go to 9999 miles before rolling back over, so it's not possible to track like that. I drive everywhere for work and put up to 2000 miles a week on my car at times.

I keep a close eye on trip A and at 10,000 add it to my total mileage and start over.

Pickups with tailgates removed. Extra hate points if they have a tire or a gas can, or anything else they won't ever use, just sitting in the bed unsecured, ready to drop onto some poor soul's car right in the middle of I-40.

Fake two-piece wheels/fake beadlocks.

Staggered wheels on FWD cars

Mismatched front and rear wheels the "drifter" wannabes love.

Cars with a radar detector.

90% of everything else mentioned above

Also what jcgolden said

I'll add huge manufacturer & model stickers to that list. I have no idea what you're going for when you put a 10" tall "CAMRY" sticker stretched across the rear window. I know your car is a Camry. It looks like a Camry and it says "CAMRY" in the chrome emblem on the trunk. I think this is what happens when you have extra money burning a hole in your pocket and zero creativity or design sense.

Slammed/stanced vehicles that have been lowered to the point that they're barely functional. Most of these vehicles will never be whole again. They'll just get progressively more fucked up at the hands of each new owner until they need so much work no decent mechanic wants anything to do with them.
