We don't know until DD gives him a shot for at least a couple series. We already know that Thomas can't, yet you still defend him like he is your son. If Sheriffs can't move the ball, then I guess we will just lose like we did at Wake.

If Mitchell plays Saturday, he's not going to be 100% healthy. A semi-healthy Mitchell = healthy Thomas in terms of effectiveness.

Mitchell looked great the first game but he only played a few series and a lot of his game revolved around scrambling but with a hurt foot he's going to be much less effective in that part of his game. I'd almost rather keep Thomas in just to make sure Mitchell gets more time to rest. We should be able to win this game with Thomas.

I don't think we've seen enough of Shirreffs to know what he's capable of in the passing game. He's only attempted 3 passes all year. Now to his credit, they've all been completions. But I'm gonna reserve judgment on his passing ability until I see him in a game where he attempts 10+ passes.
