I heard them talking about it before the game. Gives them flexibility to ph other players as needed. I'm sure someone else can explain it better than that. Plus Rodon has a pretty good bat. 1-1 with 2 runs scored already.

Just a fun fact after losing an early game this season. There is currently only one undefeated ACC baseball team. FSU is the only team to make it to the second weekend of play without a loss. And an even more fun fact is that UNC lost the series (1-2) against College of Charleston.

Won 6-5. App got a 3 run homer off Carlos to make it interesting. DJ Thomas entered in the 9th and got two outs with a runner on third and had a guy on a 1-1 count. Avent took him out and put in Woeck. 2 pitches and Woeck got the save.

Won 7-0. Jernigan overcame some early control issues (3 BB, 1 HBP) to pitch 6 strong innings, striking out 7 and only allowing 2 singles. Olczak got the save, striking out the side when he came on in the 7th and looked dominant throughout his 3 innings, not allowing a single baserunner.

Fincher led our offense, 2-4 with a double, a walk, a stolen base, and 3 RBI. Turner had an impressive string of plays in the first after reaching on walk where he advanced to second on a balk (due to toying a bit with the pitcher), took advantage of the third baseman sleeping after a pitch to steal 3rd then scored on the throwing error made by the catcher on the same play.

Good turnout too... think they announced ~2500

Yesterday was Jack's first baseball game. Weather was great and the atmosphere was great. It was difficult with it just being me and him in the standing room only section but we managed. Looking forward to going to more games.

I think they sell GA and standing room tickets only on the day of the game, so there shouldn't be an issue for most games if you're there early enough. Some ACC series and the ECU game will of course have more demand.

I got there yesterday during the 4th inning and they still had GA tickets left but it was pretty full so I don't know how many they had left. There were quite a few App. St. folks there. There were right many empty seats though that I guess were season ticket holders that didn't show up.
