Our UNC partner was outvoted as to which college would receive the jab... we are also focused on Raleigh, so we felt that we had to do it.

Thanks for the support. Our goal is very conservative and it will just literally get us a place to start production and sit on the still for a few months while permits go through. We are at almost 20% just a few hours into it... so I would not shed doubt on potentially doubling the goal (have no idea how amazing that would be).

The ABC Stores have a specific Local/NC section. I know tons of people who buy from that section and just try something local and different.

We tried to be creative and reserve bottles of rum for purchase, but Kickstarter put an end to that. We kind of had to the butcher the rewards... please let me know if there's something we should update or elaborate on

Man, I think this is a great, great idea. I own House of Swank Clothing (mostly tshirts, onesies, etc) and we've had great luck with anything that's local. NC, and Raleigh in particular, is a great place to try and pull this off. It seems like there's a new brewery going up every month, and they're all doing fine.
