We better not be "rebuilding" next year. Gott will have 3 highly ranked classes on the squad. Even if we lose TJ, we will have a talented enough team to make the NCAAT. Lacey, Abu, Martins all come in with big time reps.

I'm expecting to make the NCAA's next year with, or without TJW. If he happened to come back though, expectations will get sky high again. Just like 2012-2013.

Woaah, we're a solid top 25 next year with TJ Warren.

You do realize that if TJ leaves, we'll only have one remaining player (Lewis) from his first class, right?

I agree we should make the tourney next year, though.

I hope the crowd is at least loud and rockin'. We may not be a top 25 team this year, but it's always good to bring a big crowd when we face our rivals and have lots of shit talking chants.

if we continue to lose players faster than we develop them, we will always be rebuilding.

As long as we don't lose a point guard...next year's team is going to be deep as fuck. Two PGs in Lewis and Barber. Three, possibly four shooting guards in Lacey/Turner/Lee/OneoftheMartinTwins. SFs? Turner/Lacey/Martin/Martin. PF: Freeman/Washington/Abu. Then the 5 can be held down by Anya/Freeman/Washington and maybe even Abu if we're in a pinch.

We just need one of the SGs to step up and be a consistent scorer as well as Barber improving...he's definitely hit the wall this year.

I know it's hard to fathom to some people, but you can still cheer for NC State and get excited when we win, and still not bitch and moan and be miserable when we lose or have (another) bad season.

I mean, I get upset about NC Athletics quite often, then I try to remember it's just a game.

To me, being a fan is about being happy when your team wins and being disappointed when your team loses, to me. I can't separate the two, or choose which games I'll do one and which games I'll do the other.

Yeah, I said i get upset at NC State athletics often.

(if we lose this game I'll be pretty upset, but then I'll get over it.)

Last football season has pretty much numbed me to losing. If we win, I get pretty excited, but if we lose its just another day.

The Syracuse game is the only one I can remember being incredibly disappointed about this year. To be so close and piss it away is saddening.

Yeah, I was with my gf watching the syracuse game. After they stole the inbounds in the last seconds, I had to immediately go outside for about 5 minutes to calm down.

+1

I'm not saying we have to all be rah-rah-rah cheerleaders, but we also don't have to act like little whiny bitches either.

Meeks and McDonald are apparently "banged up" per twitter. Meeks' ankle is in a boot and McDonald may not practice today.

Haven't seen any word on whether they're expected to play.

^^^ I thought those were #lies...actually not

mcdonald says he's going to play, meeks says the same. optimism i'd say, given they're probably not practicing today.

Meeks got hurt in the Wake Forest game and actually came back and played. I'm thinking the walking boot is just a precaution or being used to strengthen up the ankle. McDonald not practicing is probably just him being sore...didn't they have like 4 games in 7 days or something? Probably just resting dudes up.

Either way...I won't wish injury on any one...but I'd fucking celebrate it if Paige and Macadoo couldn't play. We need this win in the worst way...and I fucking hate UNC.

Either one of them not playing would be pretty big. McDonald is the only one on the team outside of Paige who can hit a 3, so we could zone the hell out of them if he's out. Maybe some box-and-one stuff. Meeks gives them somebody who can score in the post every trip down.

Still, knowing how these things usually work, they'll battle through adversity and have career nights against us.

Regardless of their player(s) missing the game, we'll have to play well to win it. No escaping that yeah?

No more like I'll end my WPC membership and cancel tickets. Football already is awful and if Gott can't win with rosters chocked full of top 100 recruits, then he is not the answer either. It's called return on investment.

Gottfried won 24 games each of his first two seasons. Over the last forty years, the only two seasons in which we've won more games, we also won the national championship.

Sometimes I wonder what would State's state be if we had hired Morgan Wooten. No 1983 Cinderella, but he could have been our Coach K.

^^I get being mad at being a WPC member during the Lowe years. But after the Lowe years, how can you be this fed up with Gott? He's already arguably our 2nd best regular season coach in school history. And just to remind you, we lost 90% of our starting lineup from last year, and we're in the top half of the conference. It's not like we're doing what we're doing this year with a team full of juniors and seniors.
