no kidding... album sales and movie ticket sales are also on different planets. movies (especially one like this, with merchandising potential) also tend to have more revenue streams. it obviously wasn't an apples to apples comparison, but I don't see why they're pretending that "how crowdfunding works" is by asking for pledges that amount to 3x the retail price of your project's most basic product.

Yeah the trailer looks good but there are people whose whole job is to make that happen. Yeah I'm being the negative one here but I feel like this is gonna suck just like all of the other sequels that get made 15-20 years after the original (Mad Mad being the exception).

So I enjoyed the first movie, thought it had some funny parts, but when it came out, I felt like it was a huge waste of potential. I mean come on, a group of state troopers who don't take their job seriously? It should have been a lot funnier than it was.

So I'm hopeful for the sequel but I'm not holding my breath, because really, the first one wasn't the greatest comedy ever.

Perfect marketing to have this one come out on 4/20.

I tend to disagree, RJ Rumfelt. for a low budget film, it had a lot of good wtf laughs. It had a decent plot too. These guys took their own ideas about how a movie should be made and were pretty successful.

I don't understand why everybody is getting worked up over my opinion. The funniest movie I think I've seen in the past 15 years was 21 Jump Street. I thought the second one was a pretty good follow-up. I also thought The Hangover was garbage, I fell asleep watching it, so yea, my opinion probably sucks.

Actually liked it. The 3 stooges and Good Old Fashioned Orgy guy's fake Canadian accents annoyed me, other wise I was smiling most of the movie.
