Pleasantly surprised by the confidence that the freshmen have. It was queens college, but I liked the way we were playing D in the second half. Even in our zone, we were switching around really well.

well, you wont be seeing that every game. And you definitely wont be seeing Frosh Martin bailing us out with jumpers either. I was hoping to see something impressive from Lacey or Barber, and it wasn't there. But, maybe it is too early to tell.

Lacey apparently had a great game in that secret scrimmage against UGA. Sounds like the exhibition was just a bad game.

Barber worries me though. Guy showed some flashes at the end of last year where he seemed to be putting it all together as a PG, but I haven't heard much about him really impressing so far in the scrimmage or exhibition.

No, unless we recruit over him which doesn't seem likely at this point. You haven't heard much about Barber because he has been basically exactly what everyone expected. He hasn't regressed and he hasn't made a big jump either. Still plays good on-ball D, mid range jumper looks ok, but he still plays out of control sometimes...especially on the break.

He was pressing way too hard in the exhibition. Forcing quite a few contested jumpers instead of continuing to run the offense. Honestly the offense ran just as well, if not better, when he wasn't on the floor.

It's just one game though, so hopefully he can improve.
