i dont know what hes going through but i've seen a lot of players go out and "win one for their brother" because "thats what they wouldve wanted" . i dont ever remember seeing a player come to the game but sit out injured because someone died.

Look I'm not calling cat out i just thought it was odd that he's at the game but not playing. if he was not at the game i wouldn't have thought about it. I'm not judging anyone because no human knows what another human is going through mentally.

I only brought it up because I coached a basketball game against a team with a kid whose father, an assistant coach on the team, had just died that morning. the kid went 7/7 from 3 and we all had a moment of silence after the game with both teams. it was a moving experience. i've been in the basketball world all of my life and for people like us, basketball provides an escape from the world. in a situation like that, theres no place we'd rather be. its home.
