Get a head start. Louisville is probably jett lagged just now getting back from Seattle. Then they will get to Syracuse Tuesday or Wednesday and be jet lagged again.

Thats why you play well all season to earn the #1 seed and get all the travel/time advantages. Well I guess they would be screwed then as well since the pod was on their homecourt.

^^^^the first trip, sure, but jet lag on the second trip? Same time zone, dude... no jet lag. Maybe fatigue from air travel, but not jet lag.

Kinda weird, but I'm all for extra practices in the Carrier Dome. That place takes some getting used to, especially for shooters.

One thing I'm worried about is Louisville running some sort of funky matchup zone. They ran one last night and stymied N Iowa a few times. If the last Duke game proved anything, it's that our offense can look like complete dogshit against a good matchup zone.

I so see this coming. The Villanova game was probably the best balanced offensive game I can remember in a long time. The bigs did a good job, which will be needed again Friday. Also, Cat, Lacey, & Tuner needs to knock down some 3s. I can't believe that our defense has saved us the past two games as our offense has been mediocre at best.

I just don't see a repeat performance from our bigs against the frontline of Louisville. Let's be honest here, Nova was ridiculously soft down low for a one seed, and they basically allowed both Malik and NardDog to toss in bunnies all night while they chased down Lacey and Turner the entire game. Louisville's bigs are two quick and athletic for that to happen. I just hope that we see some lockdown D from BJ and NardDog, and anything else is bonus.

Had a tough time falling to sleep last night thinking about how much I hate UofL. We are the better team. We waxed that ass at YUM! Pitino will have his mouth breathing illiterates at that glorified community college hype. If we come out flat, we will lose.

^^I'd take Wood in a second. Wood didn't get open as easily but he was more consistent hitting clutch shots and although Turner's FT% is good, Woods was stellar. Both are a wash on D

Turner being a better overall player than Wood is suspect. His defense kinda sucks too and he's not nearly as good a shooter. I'd pick Wood over Turner.

Turner is slightly better off the dribble, but we don't want Turner making plays off the dribble at this point.


Barber is way better than Lorenzo at putting pressure on the defense in the half court. Lorenzo obviously superior in the fast break.

It will be a tough game but one we have proven we can win. Pitino is always tough to go against. Lsu had a 9 minute dry spell and nova had one of their worst shooting games of the year. Louisville doesn't have a lot of sharpshooters so maybe they can have a bad night too to help us out.

also all the people hating on UL fans are dead wrong, they were awesome in our belk bowl game years back and I've never met a UL fan I didnt like. They wear red and they hate the blues, they're like state fans but with more success

I think it is pretty normal to leave for the host site this early. Heard on the radio that unc was leaving for LA yesterday and saw the same thing for Wisconsin on twitter. I imagine it is for practice, but also all the media obligations.
