Yeah something had to have gone down. It made it look like part of the house was going to blindside the other and keep Clay. Then it was unanimous 9-0 Clay.

There was a stupid fight in the afternoon (Johnny Mac was awesome in it) but I'm pretty sure it was mostly that Austin and Twins made it clear they'd vote Clay out so everybody did. I can't stand unanimous votes like that. I mean everybody knows Meg and Jackie were 100% to keep Clay, your stupid house vote doesn't change that.

I can't believe Clelli just had their first kiss after 6 weeks. I assumed they were banging in there, since for the past few years they haven't been airing much of who was sleeping together. Like that whole summer when Jessie came back and was banging that Lydia chick, after months I think they finally mentioned it like once at the very end of the season.

I like how this summer they are not trying to hide from the tv viewing audience that a lot of houseguests seem to just be playing to make it to jury. Obviously anyone who has kept up with the live feeds already knew that.

Becky has been mildly annoying to me this whole summer but now that she is HOH and they actually have to show her on screen, I really really want to punch her stupid train face.

according to the twitter account, they did a "pop culture quiz" competition back when clay was there and they won takeout dinners for it. They didn't show that on TV. Wonder why?

Yeah she's definitely going to go deep.

The difference with Meg and Victoria is that Meg thinks she has a good read on everything and adamantly argues against almost every single logical theory somebody comes up with. Victoria was just there. Meg is pretty much sabotaging her own alliance with her stupidity.

That was the strangest episode of BB.

First off, when Julie announced it was double eviction, no one was surprised. . They were actually all shaking their heads like they already knew. Now, I guess they probably predicted it based on the timing and past seasons, but there was no "drama" there.

Then, it looked like Vanessa was going home and then all of a sudden it is unanimous to vote out Shelli. And judging by her final speech, she already knew it was going to be her. I guess they will show what happened to switch the vote on Sunday's episode.

Finally, during the double eviction part, there was barely any scrambling or gameplay going on, that I could see. In seasons past, it was hectic and chaotic and people scrambling. This group just nonchalantly goes to the living room and starts chatting and being all chummy. I guess there may have been a little game talk right before the vote, but... It all seemed very odd.

Besides Vanessa and Steve (in his own way, and maybe Jonny Mac, there really aren't any gamers this season.

^I've been reading some forums to try and work out any reason at all why Steve targeted the two weakest players in the house (besides himself of course) and the short version that I keep seeing is that he panicked during the live show and screwed up hardcore.

I've also read that he wanted Johnny Mac to use the veto so he could get a stronger player out, but John didn't know who his target would have been, so he didn't want to risk it. Either way, it does sound like the live show was the clusterfuck that it appeared instead of your version that they all were on the same page.

This has some live feed spoilers if you're concerned about that.

Steve has been loosely working with Vanessa and crew (Vanessa mostly) from the start in a "Freaks and Geeks" alliance. When Vanessa was the backdoor target last week, he had to choose Shelli v. Vanessa and he made it pretty clear he was willing to turn on Vanessa to her face by not promising his vote. When the rest of the house flipped (James, Jackie and Meg are more afraid of Shelli is the ONLY reason this happened), Steve felt like he had no choice but to house vote and now he's afraid his relationship with Vanessa is soured.

So by winning HOH (which he had said numerous times to himself/cameras that he was going to throw) he had to make a decision to go after Vanessa's side of the house or the other. I was pretty sure with the noms that Becky was the backdoor target and that if anybody but John had won veto, Becky would have gone home because John's #1 ally in the house is Becky. John confirmed post DE that Steve asked him not to use it though so I don't really know what happened there.

So after learning that, I think getting one of Jackie/James was his plan and he either pussed out on putting James up or changed his mind last minute. That side of the house never talks to him about game at all and frankly, never talks to anybody but themselves about game so I have no idea why they're so shocked they're always the targets.

I agree. Vanessa games way too fucking hard though. Last night, she made Meg promise not to put her up if she won HOH in exchange for voting out Jackie, lol. Steve's social game is so bad that he's limited into the gaming he can do. Johnny Mac waited way too long to start playing. If Vanessa goes home and Shelli/Becky/Steve/John went through with their proposed alliance, he would have been sitting pretty.

I cannot stand the guy but Austin is playing a pretty amazing game right now. He's a creepy loser and sucks at competitions but he is in a great position. His 3 person alliance is pretty solid, he's never been on the block, and he's never even really been the target aside from the attempted backdoor by Vanessa.

Can someone that watches the live feed explain to me why Steve hates Becky so much? First time Steve mentioned in the DR that he can't stand it it caught me by surprise. What are they editing out?

The DR was a surprise to everybody. The only thing I know is that Jason/Becky were talking about how Steve is awkward and "gives us less privacy than the cameras do" and he overheard it.

steve is so awkward it might take him to the final 2. I think he may be projecting onto Becky hatred from the girls that were mean to him in high school (i have no evidence of this)

I'm sure it's been mentioned at some point along the way, but doesn't it kind of detract from the drama of eviction when one houseguest is dressed for the town and one is dressed for a comp?

I realize that a lot of people watch the live streams, but I have to imagine that a majority of viewers still only watch the TV show.

With that said, they need to do a better job editing the episodes... I know they make the POV and prior-to-eviction clips look dramatic.. but by the time they show them sitting on the couches during the live show, everyone is all chummy with each other and you know exactly who is going home.

That's one thing I like better about survivor. There is a lot more cutthroat stuff going on and there are lots of blindsides at tribal council. There is hardly ever a unanimous vote where everyone is all happy and hunky dory with each other on the couch.

^I like Big Brother way better than Survivor, because I feel like on Survivor you never get the true story about what happened to change the vote. Most episodes go something like this: A lot of discussion about voting out person X. Then when tribal comes, person Y gets voted out. Then on the next episode it's briefly mentioned why person Y was voted out and then they move on the next competition. I think in Big Brother you actually get insight into the thought patterns of people and why they make decisions the way they do.

I feel like they are aiming to vote out person X, but then they have conversations about voting out person Y and make you think they may vote out Y, but then they still vote out X

But I see what you're saying.

I realize this thread is about Big Brother 17 (no spoilers) which I am not. Hear me out, maybe I can offer some insight.

I’m conflicted. As a human being I’ve always been conflicted. I think that life is meaningless and important at the same time. It’s meaningless because we’re all gonna die. But it’s important because we’re living, we can love, and I can quest for knowledge. Because knowledge is power, right? Well unfortunately those in power say what knowledge is, especially here. And in week 5, I was supposed to be eliminated from this game. My fate was sealed. And if it wasn’t for her winning a competition all by herself, I wouldn’t be here and I would have no decisions to make. So now I’m not thinking just for myself, I’m thinking about her too. And I’m in a possible situation this week. Johnny Mac and Steve, you were not a part of what happened to me that week. So why are you guys on the block? You’re victims just like I am. But unfortunately in life, victims aren’t we all? That’s all I have to say.

Julie: "It is worth mentioning that right up until this live vote, the houseguests are still undecided on who to vote"

Then the house votes unanimously to get out Johnny Mac and it didn't even seem like a surprise.

Liz is so much better looking than Julia. Julia's face is shaped weird. It's no surprise that Davonne caught on to the twin switch so fast. Plus Julia also has the personality of a wet rag.

The houseguests have made a major mistake sleeping on the three person alliance of Austwins. My prediction is them for final 3, Liz wins final HOH and takes Julia to get the money. Austin goes home and cries and tries to get back with his "ex."

^Well it would have to be Liz, because Julia wouldn't take Austin over Liz and Austin wouldn't take Julia over Liz.

So Liz is in a really good spot and the house guests are idiots for not getting her out by now. She's the link holding the Austwins alliance together.

Liz isn't in a great spot imo unless her and Austin win out HOHs. She's the big target left in the house since Vanessa is also working a side alliance. Steve/John/James have all said Liz is their #1 target at some point in the last week or so and Austin's social game with all the guys is very strong so I'm pretty sure they'd go after her first.

One of Julia/Meg is definitely making F3.
