Hoping that the Rapinoe and Holiday departures for the China game will force us to change to a more successful strategy...maybe a 4-3-3? With the exception of the defense, we just haven't looked solid at all this Cup. Hopeful we can turn that around tomorrow.

Well I am proud the English women did well in this tournament. Heartbreaking way to go out and I feel absolutely horrible for Laura Bassett.

WW2 rematches in the next two games though. England vs Germany and USA vs Japan. Hope the allies win.

Watched the match while I was doing other things, but it looked like Japan is a pretty slick passing and team with good technical skill on the ball. That sub they brought in around the 70th minute was giving the English fits dribbling. #14 iirc?

I was driving the whole time and listened to it on the radio. It was the feed from the TV announcers so it was pretty bad. I got home and watched all the goals. Good stuff especially the one from midfield
