not a fan of this trend of casting people with impossible to understand accents

I think Clara was horribly misused as a character. Each season she was a completely different person and she never really built into anything. In the Flatline episode she WAS the doctor, and did it incredibly well, then in Face the Raven become so overly careless just because she assumed the doctor could stop it? Ridiculous.

And what the hell happened with Danny Pink? She met their great-something-grandchild but now that timeline can't exist, right?

I think a lot of those complications were from Jenna Coleman saying she want to quit at the end of the series, then wanting to stay on for the Christmas special, then wanting leave after the next series. Basically, many stories in the most recent series weren't intended to feature her at all and then had to, so she lost all of her character development and was just kinda shoehorned in.
