Impeachment and conviction will not happen. Ever.
Just look at GOP Senate quotes. They could not care less and as long as their entire base loves Trump they won’t.
I am convinced Trump could be on tape commiting crimes and it wouldn’t matter. 12/12/2018 12:23:36 PM |

Who cares, let him serve out the remainder of his term in misery, letting Chuck and Nancy dunk on him for the next 2 years. At this point, it would be in his best interest to step down and let President Pence give him a blanket pardon. But he won't do that because he's a delusional idiot like all white collar criminals.

He can't get a blanket pardon, he is looking at an indictment from the state of New York January 21st, 2019 that the next president, whether they want to or not, can only watch happen. And that is the best case scenario for Don. 12/12/2018 12:35:58 PM |

Shit, you're right, I totally forgot about the state crimes. What a fucking hill the GOP chose to die on lol, all out of irrational hate for that woman. 12/12/2018 12:38:53 PM |

How the fuck do you still not get it? The GOP likes what Trump is doing. This is their party, out in the open.12/12/2018 12:42:35 PM |

The only people who "don't fucking get it", are the folks who still think Trump is untouchable and will skate through all of this because of his base. The GOP is shedding members like crazy and can only win in places with dial-up internet. You're right, all that's left are the Trump sycophants, and that's not gonna be enough to save him outside of the Senate. Orange County, CA flipping totally blue was the surest sign yet, if the party of tax cuts and deregulation can't even carry upper middle class white America, then they can no longer govern. 12/12/2018 1:02:14 PM |

They might like what he's doing, but this isn't anything from a strategic standpoint that the GOP thinkers and plotters would have wanted to happen. They surely would have rather continued their slow march toward their christian conservative utopia without Trump and the t_d, Q, et al. crowd bubbling up to the top, all that ugly exposed to the daylight is activating the left's voters that didn't turn out for Hillary and discouraging their own middle.
Then it has created an environment where it is en vogue to learn about the minutiae that the GOP state level parties have been trying to manipulate to build their unbreakable wall. In turn, they are losing the grip on state houses and district maps and learning that many "conservative" judges actually still have a pretty strong affinity for the constitution. It isn't working perfectly, and we are in for a hell of a show (that may yet be destructive), but in a lot of ways the system is holding and it is going to be a dark time for the GOP in many places, both geographic and political.

He is still at risk from New York State in that scenario.
The risk we face is some disaster, worse than the disasters we have already had (hurricanes, fires), that could really fuck us in the two years we have left with Trump. He isn't capable of creating and defending an executive order that accomplishes his goals and there is 0 hope he moves something legislatively. 12/12/2018 2:04:38 PM |

^^ he's not.
Holding steady at ~40%
Not too unexpected though... when Nixon was impeached he had a relatively high approval rating, and most people didn't think he should resign.
Same for Bill Clinton-- he actually saw an increased approval rating probably because the optics of making him testify about a stain/blow job seemed unfair.
The public bitterly disklikes politicians, but are also weirdly forgiving of felonious crimes. 12/13/2018 11:30:28 AM |
