^^Seems too much like tunnel vision to me. I turn my head to look back, to have more peripheral vision.
It's worth noting that the very first car I owned with a back up camera didn't stop me from backing it into another car of mine parked behind it. 2/5/2020 9:11:42 AM |

still waiting to get the track mode v2 update
if you havent seen it yet, Tesla released a new firmware for the model 3 performance which allows complete front/rear power distribution customization, from 100% rwd to 100% fwd in increments of 5%. Also allows stability control to be turned off completely or adjusted in 20 increments. And regen can be fully adjusted as well. ..I tweeted asking about something like this back in november before I even got this car. So excited for this update. It will make the sadness of selling my e36 m3 and s13 less painful

and here is a video a guy uploaded of him doing autocross with the new track mode v2

I swtiched to progressive when I got the tesla...ended up paying WAY less for my tacoma, my wifes cr-v and my tesla...than I was paying state farm for just the tacoma and the cr-v.

A Model 3 with all the performance goodies was at the VIR track event I attended a few weeks ago. He wasn't in my run group, but I saw a video of his runs (on youtube) after the fact. Pretty damn fast! 3/9/2020 10:12:10 AM |

do you have a link by any chance?
just got my new wheels in..went with Konig hypergrams, they are extremely light at 18lbs a piece. It will be nice to play around without melting $350 a pop tires..
although I did do some testing with track mode v2 with the ps4s real quick

I've thought about renting a Tesla model 3 performance or w/e off Turo recently.
Advertised as 0-60 in 2.3s I think. Sounds fun. Is it? 3/16/2020 10:34:52 AM |

That model 3 was on bigger wheels/tires + significant suspension mods including custom control arms, FYI.3/17/2020 7:36:03 PM |

a stock model 3 performance is still very fast around a circuit..there are plenty of examples of people with no autocross experience doing very well on their first outing
with some performance upgrades its really competitive..and hurts lots of feelings..especially Ahmets.
(also that VIR run was without track mode v2 which is a complete game changer)
heres a video of some dude killing a run with v2..car has other suspension mods
