If he’s gone to fsu (or even if he’s not), this feels like the biggest flaw of NIL. I’m all for players getting money. They should. But this is when it make sense to bring back the transfer rule of sitting a year. It might make the poaching aspect slightly less appealing. Sitting a year is restrictive and kind of a dumb rule when there’s no NIL money involved. But with the money involved, it just becomes open season on poaching players and that’s not really in the spirit of what NIL is. It’s tricky because the players should get paid. But lack of any roster continuity is really frustrating for fans (and coaches).

Or the real answer would be to go straight to an employment contract for the players by the universities. But I think we’re still a ways off from that happening.

This is reminds me of the JJ Hickson year in Basketball. Not entirely the same. While he was a special offensive talent, in the end the team had a down year. Its a team sport and his offensive production will be missed, but I don't think this will be the downward spiral of the program.

^^ I think that’s true. But I also think it’s fair to say that some things he says should probably carry more weight than things Joe Ovies says. Just because Giglio is connected and does have relationships with #sources. His role is very different now and he’s probably unlikely to get any big time #scoops as a radio host. But I’d rate his credibility above most other radio hosts.

He got injured but the primary reason he moved to DH and not fielding third is that his defense took a turn for the worst halfway through the season and he sucked at fielding. Sucked. That's part of the issue, he wants to play defense and the coaching staff wants to leave him at DH next year until he proves he's fixed his fielding woes.

Personally Giglio and pretty much all the other guys on 99.9 The Fan (especially Adam Gold) kinda irk me -- always faux angry and they don't really listen well. Not that that's crazy or rare in sports radio, but I've lived in other cities where the hosts were better. Almost makes me wanna listen to another town's sports radio, but then we won't get as much State coverage, though Giglio in particular gets a hate boner over state anyways, so eh

On fielding for the year, White had 121 chances, 94 put-outs, 19 assists, and 8 errors for a fielding percentage of .934, which isn't *awuful* but is still below almost all of the non-pitchers on the team (only ahead of Pilolli, Eisert, Marcy, and Green -- all but Green had way fewer chances than him). So, while not bad, his performance -- and injury -- definitely didn't justify playing him this year
