Washington got completely hosed last night. Terry indicated his intention to be on the line to the ref twice and got confirmation. Same ref proceeds to throw the flag on him immediately after wiping our TD off the board and moving us back from the 1 yard line to the 6. Then they continue to screw us on the no-call on blatant PI the very next play to seal the game for the Giants.

They also wiped off a 2 point conversion earlier on an extremely cheap offensive PI call.

Well it's the job of the down judge/line judge to tell a player if he's on the line when the player asks. That was incredibly poor officiating.

Buddy i didn't even watch the game. But I've seen enough dumb takes about how "a pro player should know how to line up" on the social media about that play, when in fact said player did exactly what he was supposed to and got screwed by a bad official.

Also yes, that no call on DPI was hilariously bad.

But all sports are rigged so none of this surprises me.

They were definitely two blown calls/non-calls.
It's usually not noticable on the tv broadcast, but the umpire will state which players are eligible receivers over the PA system in a strange formation.

The referee will announce ineligible numbers that report as eligible. They never announce a strange formation. Regardless this wasn’t a strange formation.

^^^Look feel free to be a keyboard warrior but it’s not the responsibility of the official to line up the player. If the official said he was good then it’s the refs fault but this is a well marked field and it’s very clear he isn’t on the line of scrimmage. If he asks if he’s on and the refs says move up then he better get on, the 4 inches he shuffles forward ain’t cutting it when he’s off by a yard and a half. Formation requirements are in place to help the defense matchup, but officials don’t split hairs on them most of the time. This was particularly egregious.

So cardiac arrest has been confirmed by Bills.

Hopefully he pulls through, he had a pulse before he left field. I guess you could take as a good sign is the ambulance waited on his mother before they left the stadium. Not sure if thats true or not just something I saw from reporters at stadium.

The NFL doesn't come off looking good in this situation. Your teammate was dead, you have 5 minutes to get ready to play again. Good on McDermott and Taylor for saying fuck that we need time to process if we can even continue. Took the NFL over an hour to make right call.
