Typical
9/3/2022 3:35:29 PM
Thank god for kickers. If we throw the ball again on first or second I’m gonna slap someone
9/3/2022 3:37:07 PM
I wondered this before the game and wonder even more now... how did we get ranked number 13?
9/3/2022 3:37:48 PM
Tim Beck WYD
9/3/2022 3:38:25 PM
Sighhhhhhhhhhh
9/3/2022 3:40:08 PM
What is going on with this play calling?
9/3/2022 3:40:33 PM
But we’re #13, what is going on??
9/3/2022 3:41:20 PM
NC State shit incoming? Hope not.

Fire everyone[Edited on September 3, 2022 at 3:44 PM. Reason : How you gonna cover the fastest guy on their team with a LB]
9/3/2022 3:44:04 PM
I'm starting to worry about our national championship chances
9/3/2022 3:44:42 PM
That missed PAT is going to be the high point of the season.
9/3/2022 3:46:50 PM
And now Dave just casually lets 20 seconds run off the clock before calling a timeout

We did a victory!
9/3/2022 3:51:17 PM
What's the opposite of "never has to buy a beer in this town again"That kicker might as well skip the locker room and call the movers to pack his shit
9/3/2022 3:53:20 PM
NC State shit was just spotted in Boone.
9/3/2022 4:01:33 PM

9/3/2022 4:16:19 PM
I'll be pretty pissed if we don't move into the top-3 of the polls after this convincing win
9/3/2022 4:18:26 PM
Game ball goes to Ray Finkle.

A W is a W but damn that was some frustrating coaching decisions.
9/3/2022 5:16:53 PM
^^should and will are differentBut was the extra point high pressure?
9/3/2022 5:24:05 PM
It was interesting to watch each coaching staff work so hard to not out-coach the other side.
9/3/2022 5:47:26 PM
Just got back from the game. That 4th quarter was hell.
9/3/2022 5:56:24 PM
^ I hope the ECU fans were gracious hosts.
9/3/2022 6:47:23 PM
I had no issues.
9/3/2022 6:52:19 PM
We’re 1-0. Yay!0 complaints. Everything was perfect and nothing to work on. Great job.
9/3/2022 8:18:02 PM
Yep, I was at the game too. Other than one car driving by yelling "Fuck State" it wasn't too bad.On the way out I heard an ECU fan saying something to the effect of "man, this is the least chippy the fans have been in years, and it's really just cause the ending was so deflating for both sides"
9/3/2022 8:52:35 PM
Glad we won but this was definitely a moral loss
9/3/2022 9:17:50 PM
One or two more moral losses and we're eliminated from playoff contention
9/3/2022 9:24:24 PM
I knew we would have to rely on our defense a lot this year but Leary didn’t impress today. Not so sure about the ACC POY voting. I think he is solid for sure but we will see if he can take some games over this yeat.
9/3/2022 11:33:28 PM
Leary had misses for sure. I thought he looked really good in the first half. Not so much in the second half. Which is pretty much true for the entire offense, not just him. Play calling wasn’t overly inspiring. But I guess if a few of the plays had been executed better we wouldn’t be complaining. Much like last year, it feels like we have some real ballers but it we don’t totally open it up offensively. We don’t always let our ballers ball. Demie Sumo looked good. I don’t get Jordan Houston getting the goalline carry (when he fumbled). I know the next possession that Sumo got stuffed, so he had his chance. But he just seems way stronger than Houston, especially in a goalline situation.
9/4/2022 7:17:29 AM
I am guessing a "moral loss" means our ranking will slip a bit after this one.
9/4/2022 9:01:47 AM
9/4/2022 10:40:12 AM
The only long ball miss i really remember going to Carter was a bad throw by Leary. He threw it out of bounds and Carter slowed down trying to stay in the field of play. Carter was WIDE open and if he put the ball inbounds it would have been 6.Slimey Shark looked good. Houston was good at the things he's always been good at (screen passes) and not very impressive at running. Leary had a really bad day. Lesane was noticable, so was the transfer from Maryland (despite that dumb shove that led to OPI)]
9/4/2022 12:01:25 PM
Good call on that deep ball. If Carter catches that cleanly he’s out of bounds.
9/4/2022 12:20:44 PM
There is no point in playing ECU or App State on road. Its always lose/lose for us. If they want to play us then they can either try to get it neutral site or come to C-F. We won and hopefully this is a wakeup for everyone in program. Our season still comes down to the first 2 weeks in October.
9/6/2022 9:03:43 AM
I've heard some talk lately that these games (for us, UNC, and VT at ODU) open up a slightly different perspective on recruiting. Gets easy game access to show local recruits exactly what we're about and getting into a slightly different market than a home game would. Not sure it's all worth the risk, but there's at least some positives to it
9/6/2022 10:48:10 AM
I can see that logic for playing App or Charlotte. Greenville is the exact same market as Raleigh tho.
9/6/2022 1:11:14 PM
^^In fact it's quite the opposite. In state and local recruits already know what NCSU is about, or at least should know since it's essentially the same market. It's the ones in other states that we need to be promoting NCSU to. Playing games in Mississippi, Florida, Texas, Oklahoma etc does that and allows access to games, even if way, that out of state recruits might be tempted to look at NCSU as before they may not have.Widen the footprint. By playing at these smaller in state schools you are doing nothing for the positive of NCSU except an either expected win or stunning loss.I'd much rather play some lower tier SEC teams or even pac12 etc away games to open the year than ECU. The ONLY benefit to playing them is convenience of travel. And if you went to the game you saw how bad the amenities and staffing at ECU is. So, it's the opposite of your statement.[Edited on September 6, 2022 at 1:13 PM. Reason : Gopack]
