this is my logic:

The steelers are a desparate team right now, and typically play well against the run. Not to mention the weather is supposed to suck ass and i dont expect more than a 9-6 score in this game. Jomes os the weakest play of the three.

As For Rudi....Here's my logic

Rudi:
Quote :
"Running Backs
Rudi Johnson (Cin) – The silence from the Rudi bashers has been deafening lately, since he's producing well. The weather's nasty now, and as the Bengals push for the playoffs, Johnson's as important to this great offense as anyone, and he's as productive as anyone. Meanwhile, backup Chris Perry's carries have dwindled down to almost nothing. "

Quote :
"Rudi has yet to finish with less than 65 yards rushing in a game, an accomplishment that is only matched by Edgerrin James among the league's backs. "

Quote :
" Rudi Johnson, Cin 22 touches last week 270 for the season, 5th most this season"

Quote :
"Johnson scored two more touchdowns in Sunday's win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, giving him seven scores over his last four games. The Bengals' running back finished just shy of the century mark, rushing for 98 yards on 21 carries."

As for Jackson,

he's not a bad play, i just think Rudi is better. Jackson's role in games is wishy washy, so its even more difficult to rely on him this time of year in either the first round of the fantasy playoffs, or the regular season finale. He's also coming of off a bad ankle, more than likely decreasing his workload a bit. Besides, the Rams are throwing left and right now, even with their 3rd string QB starting. its simply to risky, especially against a much imporved Vikings Defense.

Fantasy football is all about striking while the iron is hot, this is the case with Rudi. He is coming on at the perfect time of the year.

The Steelers D has not been playing well against the run lately. Jones is a better pick than Jackson.

Housh vs CHI

T.Glenn vs KC

housh

housh will always be single-covered because of chad. chad's cousin isn't nearly as scary in my opinion, so glenn could get more attention defensively.

plus housh is coming off a huge game against the steelers.

definitely housh.

a) he is on a nasty streak of some great games recently.

b) flys under the radar as a #2 receiver

c) the browns play a cover 2 base defense, allowing one on one coverage for short and intermediate routes.....which Housh specializes in for the Bengals. I expect both he and Chris Henry to have productive days against Cleveland.

d) putting faith in Drew Bledsoe is like playing Russian Roulette.

the past two weeks they have gone up against phenomenal passing attacks. you got peyton manning throwing to marvin harrison and reggie wayne, followed by carson palmer throwing to chad johnson and housh. of course the running game is gonna work more against them b/c they're in the nickel all day.

i don't think orton and muhammed are going to force them into that situation, jones isn't gonna do shit.

go with rudi

^ hmmmmmmmm

i hope thats not sarcasm, because i have answered all of your questions, in great detail for that matter, more than anyone else on here.

this is my final attempt to persuade you.

The Bears are playing at Pittsburgh, likely either very cold or inthe snow, in a must win situation for the Steelers after losing two straight, with the Bears having a terrible passing attack, and a new QB controversy as well. Cower is gonna have those fuckers ready, with the line stacked and daring Orton to throw.

The Rams are playing in a dome, against the Vikings, whose secondary is much improved but the run defense is still very lackluster. Play Jones and be very sorry, i'm telling you right now!

S.Jackson vs MIN

R. Johnson vs CLE
L. Jordan vs NYJ

i was going to play Rudi and Jones

and Jordan as a W/R

well, thats the first time you have said anything about Jordan.

with Collins sitting, and Tuiasasopo @ QB, not to mention Jordan playing the team that dumped him. Jordan is a must play. If you can still pick 2 after that, definitely go with Rudi and Jackson.

BEWARE HOWEVER........

If the Bengals game turns into a blowout, dont be suprised to see all of thier starters sitting, including Rudi, allowing my man Chris Perry to get some run.

i was referring to the chance that the game would be a blowout, not overall fantasy production.

but yup, he is one of the best #3 receivers in the game.

considering the standings and such, if the game were a blowout, they probably wouldnt throw much anyway. therefore chris perry would be a better play imo.....but in the scheme of a normal game, you are correct sir, Henry is more likely to make some noise.

btw, i picked up Perry today just incase the Bengals clinch the division sometime soon. One of my leagues is teh ghey with the Championship in week 17. Perry would be a great play for that.

dont forget jackson's 300 receiving yards and 2 TDs. Jackson is always the better start depending on the matchup. And it is def. in his favor this week.

Broncos D/ST vs Bal or

Falcons D/ST vs NO?

right now i'm starting Holt, Fitzgerald, and KRob...
would you replace any of those with McGahee or Santana Moss?

very important week this week... head-to-head battle for first place heading into the playoffs

^tough decision between KRob and Moss, both have good matchups and can put up big numbers, especially if your league gives points for return yards

if your league does give points for return yards, I'd go with KRob, if it doesnt, I'd go with Moss

either way, I wouldnt play McGahee

okay, now pick my #3 receiver:
Jimmy Smith vs. Colts (has been getting more looks from Gerrard lately)
Antonio Bryant vs. Bengals (could be a shootout and Frye doesnt look bad)
Eddie Drummond vs. Packers (my league gives 1 point per 25 return yards, so he's usually a solid option to pick up decent points every week, but he is listed as questionable right now)

Smith, No Question. The other guys are douchebags!

Frye wont be so lucky against a real secondary.

Drummond? are you kidding me? He's like the #3 on the Lions!

I have Smith in my lineup already, just wanted to see if anyone else had a reason why he wouldnt be a good choice

and yes Eddie Drummond, he was my #3 receiver last week and got more points than my #1 receiver. He might not be the best receiver on the Lions, but he's a damn good returner and we get points for punt and kickoff return yards (which is does both)

hmmmmmmmm.

i actually say Atlanta.

Atlanta may give up more points then the Broncos, but the Saints average about 4.5 turnovers per game. The falcons are bound to return an interception or fumble for a TD.

Gives you a reason to watch a terrible MNF as well.

I'd go with Atlanta

The last time Atlanta played New Orleans, they almost got beat, and they gave up 31 points.

Both Atlanta and Denver got beat last week and gave up quite a few points. I look for both units to bounce back and bounce back well. So when both teams are going to be playing strong and against terrible offensive units, I go with talent.

Also, Denver is second in the league with take-aways. Denver is also playing a rushing team, and they ranked 3rd in the league against the rush, and after last week's beating from Larry Johnson, I'm sure they'll look to bounce back and stuff Jamal Lewis.

Baltimore has a total of 27 turnovers this year, New Orleans has 32, not a significant difference here, both teams are going to turn the ball over often. Denver is ranked higher in rush D and Atlanta is ranked higher than pass D. But then again, New Orleans is ranked higher in rush, passing, and total offense than Baltimore.

And not to mention that Baltimore is 0-6 in the road, and Denver hasn't lost at home.

Both D's will probably do fine, but Atlanta hasn't been playing that well as of late, so I'd go with the better team.

i think he'll play. most of the time when a player is questionable he will play, especially with them in the wild card hunt for the playoffs. the only way he will sit is if they get up by like 30 or if he is really just hurt bad. and if that were the case, he'd be listed as doubtful or out.

Hopefully the person listened to me and went with the smarter Denver pick.

Denver forced 4 turnovers
Atlanta forced 1 turnover

Denver gave up 10 points
Atlanta gave up 17 points

Unless your league has some really strange point distributions for defense, then Denver was a much better pick.

Its official, Brunnell sucks, and I need a new QB, as the only other QB I have currently is Josh McCown (you have to pay for each add/drop in my league, so it just picking up guys for the heck of it doesnt pay off). The notables that are available...Ben Roethlisberger, Kurt Warner, David Garrard, and Chris Simms. Roethlisberger is never going to put up big numbers in that system, and the Cardinals are too inconsistent to play Warner, so Im leaning toward David Garrard. The Jags are playing San Francisco, @ Houston, and Tennessee in the next 3 games...all favorable matchups. Is he my best bet?

One of my leagues is an 8 team league where all 8 teams go into a 3 round playoffs. The first round of the playoffs was yesterday, and the top 4 teams, including myself, were all upset by the bottom 4 teams. A 2-11 team beat a 10-3 team and a 2-10-1 team beat a 9-4 team. What pisses me off more than anything is that the guy playing me had Ahman Green starting, which means he probably hasn't checked his lineup all year.
