i hate this game on the PS3...the controls are different, when you try and play someone they can see what play you are calling, the defense pretty much is terrible.

the graphics look great though...CF looks unreal...but I hate the control and play setup

on the xbox 360, you can hold the button down on the play you want and you can still cycle through the plays, release the button on another one and it gives you the original play. not sure if the ps3 is like that.

OMG dude this has been said like 100 times in the thread.

You press X on the play you want and hold it and let go on another play. You chose the first play you hit X on.

best transfer so far for me (after two seasons) has been a 94 overall QB from Notre Dame (I'm Navy)...he was a RS Soph and a scrambler, so fits perfect for the option offense

I do think it's a little bullshit that I can finish the season ranked #3 after beating UGA in the sugar bowl and start the next season unranked...but whatever

^Yeah the preseason rankings are on just the overall scale of each team usually.

When you start unranked....you have to go undefeated and get help a lot usually to make the BCS champs game.

just turned teh game off vs virginia 63-56 after sewell completed a td pass to stupar who broke 3 tackles and took it 40 yards to go 20-21 passing. the game is just not right and not fair playing vs the computer any way you cut it. some games its fine but if the computer doesnt want to be stopped theres nothing you can do. i tried everything on defense he was hitting through dense zones, finding the one hole in every d throwing tds off his backfoot under pressure you name it and even when i do stop a play tehn somebody breaks 5 tackles.

then anytime brown gets to the outside its a td. if i put it on all american it would be 80-14

best game ever for head to head. worst game ever for dynasty play.

just got through season 2 with oregon(on heisman) winning the national championship for the 2nd straight year...about midway through the season i changed the way i was doing my recruiting to the link i posted a couple posts ago. i used to go with the swaying everyhting to match your stuff to the recruits stuff, but that never worked during the season and id have to hope the good recruits would hold out till offseason when im pretty much assured of getting them if they are in my top 3.

anyway, i changed to just hard selling all my good points that are their good points too, and that finally gave me a 5* recruit during the season but i started this method midway through the season, so now im still having to pick up the rest of the recruits in the offseason...im hoping that with oregon now a 6* prestige team, and most of my recruiting options at excellent that i will be able to recruit well, so that i can finally figure out how to recruit(seemingly my only problem, other than defending the pass)

eventually i will try the 1*-6* achievement on heisman...should be pretty ridiculous seeing how im not the greatest pass defender right now and i will be controlling slow ass retards on backwoods louisiana state or whatever school i choose

Ball State is a pretty good 1 star team to take to 6 stars...I'm in my 3rd season and have them to 3 stars...I mean if you can't recruit a kid out of high school by telling him its the state school for ballers, you need recruiting help

yea i have a feeling its going to be ridiculously hard. i havent lost a game yet with oregon on heisman, but ive played about 5 or 6 games where they were decided by a TD or less(one of those a gw td pass this season with no time left to beat USC like 28-24).

im prob gonna have to accept losing a few games with a 1* team when i start that dynasty(ill prob look for a team with a mobile qb so i dont get destroyed in the pocket all game long)

i quit a couple games and restarted to play better and try and go undefeated...i lost 1 game in my first season (22-20 to georgia) and won the sugar bowl...national title the next year...i do think ball state has some decent weapons though for a 1 star school...and now in my 3rd season i'm able to get some 4 and 5 star recruits, even if only a few...program stability is ballin with my 6 year coach contract extension and fan base is "Great" so i'm getting there

actually a receiver and either a LB or CB were about to go pro after one year and i convinced them to stay, so i coulve got my nfl pro pitch or whatever higher but it just shows that ball state has a few solid players

i try not to turn off the game and accept whatever outcome, but there are occassions that when your impact running back who is an overall 98 and has a carrying rating of 99 but somehow manages to fumble the ball on his first carry of the drive for 4 straight drives and the cpu scores on each of those turnovers...then i get a little upset

(that happened earlier this week, i couldnt believe the game made me fumble that many times)

i play heisman with my friends but if im trying to get a shit school far i know damn well that one loss will murder any decent bowl chances since SOS is so weak...but i jack off to porn, ernie jacks off to beating the computer on heisman

i found a glitch in recruiting last month

pretty much you can almost get anyone you want

all you have to do is when they get to the point they want to visit, pick the next or current week.

The week afterwards remove the prospect from the list. add him back. offer scholarship again, and you can have him visit again, rinse and repeat. This GREATLY gains ground in the interest meter.

^^I'd actually consider doing this on those stubborn bastards who have me in 2nd place though my interest meter is the same as the first team and I always end up in 2nd when it's all said and done. Maybe this can help land those guys, haha.

its not an advantage built into the game that has ANYTHING to do with football, its a glitch, its the same thing as being able to hit up up, down down, left right etc and all of a sudden get the best recruiting class

If the recruit doesn't want to visit, that glitch would never even work, so I can understand why it's an automatic victory cheat code that ruins the entire game.

You keep talking about realism and all this bullshit about how you would never run the option in the game because the real team wouldn't do it. Get over yourself and go with the realism factor -- not every recruit in the real world comes to a team without any sort of shady dealing. This is simply copying that trend.

Some people get a thrill out of playing on Heisman and getting their ass kicked by a super team, and some, believe it or not, play the game realizing that it's a fucking game and not some litmus test for hardcore badasses the world over.

^^sounds like its still a little more work than you're making it out to be

i'll probably try it on one "test" recruit just to see what it does..course i can ball out with a bunch of 3* players (on AA) so i'm good either way...its not like some code where you cant get tackled or throw picks though like the old Madden Cards you could play

^^ the realism is what makes the game fun... if it was just totally random, unrealistic shit it might be fun for a bit, but would have no staying power at all, such as NFL Blitz and whatever that baseball game was back in the day where you could throw fucking fireballs and shit. Sure its a little fun, but wasnt really that entertaining after about 13 years old

Haha I haven't actually used this recruiting glitch, I merely said I might try it on a "test" recruit like was said earlier to see if it is actually useful.

Recruiting isn't that hard anyway, no real reason to use a "glitch". I've had 2 top 5 recruiting classes and my current class is shaping up really well with already having 1 5-star and 2 4-stars with a lot of other 5 and 4-stars having me in their top 2 spots.

i am playing with FIU also. 2nd season after playing the easiest schedule possible and going 13-0 on heisman. This season I'm actually playing harder teams, as I accepted the invite to Conf USA and start out the season at rutgers (who still has rice)

I got conference invites after both of my first two seasons with Navy. I'm not doing it (fuck getting rid on Independent status), but it sucks balls when it comes to my conference tradition. I'm always Sub-Par, regardless of the fact I always schedule teams to give my SOS an A+ rating.

Maybe if the Big East, SEC, or ACC come calling I'll think about it. But that means 3 of 4 non-league games are taken by rivalry/tradition games (AF, Army, and Notre Dame). And Army/AF make it hard on the SOS.

it's like one of my room mates........... he thinks he's awesome, but on closer inspection, he has all the game's sliders in his favor..... has like 400 yards rushing and passing every game and wins like 50 something to nothing.....

nice, i like throwin it to my backs, i dont ever play with a fullback(play a rb in that position) in my 'fun and gun' style playbook..if i do use a formation with a fb its only the shotgun 2-back formation...

and i could be possibly getting a 5* QB with an A- speed rating, so thats liable to change my playcalling for next season(first season i had a mobile SR qb, past 2 seasons ive been using a pocket passer)

any time a team gets up by two scores, the game is over.

it's lame as fuck.
