No I picked him up off the FA (w/ Chris Brown) and since I have all middle of the road WR's I was hoping that he'd be able to be a good #2.

I have Reggie Wayne (Obvious Starter), J. Cotchery (@Bal), Patrick Crayton (@Miami), Randel El (@Philly), and Darrell Jackson (@StL)...

Right now I have Reggie Wayne, Darrell Jackson, and Randel El starting... (Palmer, W. Parker, Jones-Drew, those WRs, T.Gonzalez, and Jacksonville DEF as well) but I am going against probably the toughest team (Payton Manning, C. Portis, Edgerrin, Steve Smith, TO, Donald Driver, Vernon Davis, Baltimore DEF) so I want to make sure I maximize my point potential.

Frye dealt to the Seahawks. If you need a QB, look at Quinn, likely to get the start this week.

I got killed last week by my starters (Benson, D.Branch, S.Jax,JuliusJones) while my bench (W.Welker, CalvinJohnson) did okay.

Right now I have my starters as:
WR: Steve Smith, Javon Walker
RB: SJax, Ced Benson
Flex: Jul.Jones, Calvin Johnson

Leaving: Deion Branch, Wes Welker, Leon Washington, Michael Turner on the bench.

Suggest any changes?

^^^

This one appears to be a no-brainer really:

Houston vs Carolina - Carolina looked really good this past week, that passing game was on point and Houston's DB's aren't that great(just signed Demps to get some depth though). Houston's D/ST are good, just don't like them this week.

Miami vs. Dallas - If you missed the game this past week, Dallas' offense is potent. Miami's strength is in the front 7. They look to shut down the run and make the team pass the ball, which plays to the strength of Dallas. TO and Witten should have good weeks this week.

Seattle vs. Arizona - DING DING DING! Arizona's offense was terrible last night, Seattle can get pressure on Arizona and force Leinart into turning the ball over.

Just due to match-ups, not talent, you gotta go with Seattle here. Tatupu should be seeing a lot of Matt this week.

i'd probably play Houston over Miami for the 2nd defense although its a close call

Houston might give up some points but force a couple turnovers, maybe one for a score...Miami will probably allow more points

(^he has to start 2 defenses)

straight up trade proposal... adrian peterson for maroney (i have maroney right now)

i really like peterson. especially with taylor being hurt. and it just seems like with all the receivers the patriots have this year, maroney won't get too many TDs.

what do you guys think?

however many^

My bad, I didn't see the start 2. But yeah go Houston and hope Jake plays like him oldself and Dunta Robinson can get you some turnovers. Also hope maybe Jacoby Jones will return one for you, he looked solid in the pre-season.

4^
I think both TE's are going to perform well. Witten did well last week but let's face it, the Giant's LB's aren't great, Miami has MUCH better LB's. So yeah I'd go with Winslow here and hope the QB play improves.

^
No don't give up Maroney this early. That offense is going to be balanced, they will run the ball to setup the deep ball and vice versa. Peterson will be the main back, but he has a history of injury problems and ATL's D/ST aren't very good, so don't jump the gun on Mr. Peterson just yet.

i think its fair for both sides to some extent...manning will have a better overall year but bulger should have a good one himself...westbrook is a better back but has more of an injury history than deuce and i'm not sure about jordan's past injuries

^^^Norwood. Ward is en vouge right now because of the surprise of Jacobs getting hurt + the fact that his debut was on national television.

When Jacobs returns, Ward's role is drastically minimized. Add that to the fact the Eli Manning will likely be out for the entire time that Jacobs is, and there is no reason to covet Ward. In fact, right now is a great time to sell high on Plaxico if Manning's injury is as bad as originally reported.

Norwood on the other hand, will ultimately take over the starting role this season, and when he does, the Falcons offense will be clicking on all (relatively speaking) cylinders at that time. It will then be his job to lose. Norwood > Ward IMO.

^^ Whoever is getting Manning is getting a much better deal here. I cannot stress enough how much of a difference losing Orlando Pace will make to their offense as a whole. As someone mentioned above, Westbrook has huge potential, but his injury risk will keep you up at night. If I were you, I would take Manning, who has the potential to explode every week and is steady, and Duece, who is also very solid and is on a well balanced offense that doesnt solely rely on his production to be effective. manning isnt such a good deal once Lamont jordan starts putting up 5 points for weeks at a time.

Get manning and Duece, and enjoy winning the championship.

What do you think Bulger home against SF or Romo at Miami?

I am leaning towards Bulger because Miami D is decent and Romo is unlikely to put up those numbers again

Thanks guys - I was figuring Seattle for sure, the decision was more between miami and houston. I think carolinas gonna have a bad game... i hate to cheer against them but ill hope for a low scoring game with lots of turnovers.

fantasy football is NOT an excuse to cheer against your own favorite team unless you've put at least $500 or more on the league

i personally was happy that Steven Jackson had a bad game even though I have him in both of my leagues...I'd be pissed if it was versus anybody else, but not the Panthers

and I have henry, barber III, westbrook, leon washington all left if i do that...sound good????
im thin at WR with Roy Williams and Reggie wayne, next in line are Cotchery and Toomer

thought about Roy Williams for Moss but not sure how healthy he will stay.

Rudi's still a top 10 player in my book. I say go for it if you can use a RB upgrade. Honestly, I don't have a shitload of confidence in the Panthers passing game anyway.

you are giving up smith and getting johnson + whoever, right?

If this is the case, even colston and not harrison is still worth it.

Are you in a 5 person league or what? I can't judge based on what is scarce and what is not scarce.

i dropped musa smith since mike anderson (mcgahee backup) is gonna be back more than likely.... i picked up michael pittman of tampa bay (cadilac's backup).

anyone know williams' status for TB next week? they are saying he will be questionable but its still early.

my other rb's are jackson (definite starter), lynch (vs pitt), and lewis (vs cincy).

if pittman looks like he will get the start, do i start him (vs new orleans) over lynch and lewis?

horrible QB situation in Pennington, Grossman, and Garrard. With news Pennington could be out 1-2 weeks with sprained ankle I'm going to try and pick up Clemens on waivers. That requires me to trade one of my running backs I was going to hold on to hoping someone would get hurt and have to trade with me. Who should I drop to get Clemens. Brandon Jackson, Cedric Benson, Chester Taylor(was leaning towards him until i found out his injury wasnt as severe), deshaun foster, ladell betts

^how many qbs do you start? if it's 1 or 2, I would stick with Grossman and Garrard. Sounds painful just typing that, but Clemens is probably not going to do any better, considering the Jets face Baltimore and Miami the next 2 weeks.

Eli Manning has been cleared to play

Quote :
"
Dr. James Andrews looked at Eli Manning's test results and confirmed that the Giants quarterback can play whenever he can handle the pain. Manning will not risk further damage to his sprained right shoulder by coming back quickly, the New York Daily News reports. Jared Lorenzen will take first-team snaps on Wednesday and Thursday, and Manning may test his shoulder on Friday. There's a good chance that he's headed towards a game-time decision."

Great News! I dont own Manning, but I do own Plaxico.

It's also very good news for those who were able to pick up Ward off of waivers.

WR: Marvin Harrison @ Tenn(Starting)
Vincent Jackson @ NE(Starting)
Santonio Holmes vs. Buffalo (Starting)

Have Chris Chambers vs. Dallas on the bench. Proved to be Green's favorite target on Sunday and going against a defense that looked horrible against the Giants. Should I try to slide him in there? I'm thinking I should for Vincent Jackson.. any ideas?

Also at RB I have Ronnie Brown vs. Dallas and Brian Westbrook vs. Was. starting.. with Cedric Benson vs. KC, Chester Taylor @Det. , Marshawn Lynch @ Pitt, Ladell Betts @ Phi, and DeShaun Foster vs. Houston on the bench. Thinking I should keep it how it is but both of my starters looked less than stellar last week. Any reason to change?

In a 10 team league where we start two QBs, I have Romo and Eli. I just made a trade where I give up McGahee for Rivers because I am worried about Eli's injury.

My remaining RBs are LT, Barber III, Marshawn Lynch, and I picked up Ward on Monday night (dropped Norwood).

What do you think of that deal? It gives me three fairly equal QBs to rotate based on matchups and covers me for bye weeks. Then later in the season I can probably trade one to hopefully fill a weakness.

Also I am carrying two TEs, Owen Daniels and LJ Smith. Who should I drop or should I wait it out a couple of weeks?

With a WR/RB flex position in a PPR league, which position player do you usually use, another RB or another WR?

I mean, I like the allure of a third running back b/c he'll touch the ball a lot more, but I just wanted your input, Panthro.
