no, the O-line has pretty much been the downfall of the chargers this year. P-Riv has sucked b/c you cant do much passing when you get sacked 5+ times in a game, and hurried even more. LT cant get going b/c there is no blocking

(also the receivers seem to be dropping very catchable balls)

the defense is up and down, but has done their part a good bit of the time

The left tackle, Marcus McNiell, was a beast last year and a Pro-Bowler. This year he is a fat sack of shit. He has allowed 5 sacks in the last 2 games, and he's got Rivers lookin over his shoulder every time he takes a 5 step drop.

i'm guessing 50% of philip's INTs and 90% of his fumbles are due to the horrid O-line play and the clowns at WR(excluding Chris Chambers, who is single-handedly killing Antonio Gates as a fantasy commodity)

the bolts have a crap ton of cap space this free agency, they'd be well off to get some solid o-line men and another good WR. i dunno how their d-line is... but the backers are pretty good and the secondary isn't bad from what i can see...

McNeill was getting toasted at least every other play. QBs don't live long when they are consistently blindsided. Both OTs were horrible, and Haynesworth easily split double teams a few times. I've never seen a young offensive line regress so much in one season.

It was a physical game: after the first quarter Vince Young couldn't run, and Rivers couldn't walk. Gates was limping badly on his him, Lorenzo Neal was out, Merriman's knee was messed up. Gut check performance for Rivers and the Chargers.

Well, it was a good season, sad to see it end.

On the bright side, the team is absolutely loaded with talent, mostly still very young, has all key starters locked up til 09, and is over 20 million(!) under the cap.

They will probably lose Turner and possibly Volek in FA, but Sproles is a good backup. They need to be willing to spend some big time money, a great safety and a 3rd WR (Parker might be the guy, but who knows) could put this team over the top.
