It may or may not have been an actual suicide. Im sure Widmore's people could make Ben die and have it look like a suicide.

Who knows about the teanage son thing. One of Ben's fake persona's could have a fake teenaged son.

My primary reason for thinking it's Ben is based on Jack's reaction. Although the writers have left themself alot of wiggle room. the only people we know that it's not are Jack and Kate...probably.

I like the idea of Michael being in the coffin. Whoever it was obviously adopted a fake name, and Michael has already done it once. I doubt it was one of the Six, their faces are too recognizable.

It could also explain why Jack said he wasn't a friend or family. He's still pissed at Michael for turning them over to the Others.

As for the teenage son, that would be Walt. Maybe Walt gets pissed off, finally explains to his dad that they shouldn't have left the island and Michael kills himself over it. That could also explain Jack's change in heart from lying about the island to wanting to go back.

^ yeah that's what I was thinking...plus when Sayid asks Michael why he's on the boat (in the previews)...Michael says he's there to die.

Sometimes with this show their big surprises are so obvious they are not...so maybe it is not so far-fetched that Michael could be that guy.

The context of this discussion is debating who is in the coughin.

While it is possible for Jack and Michael to be "family", it is also not likely. The point I made definitely can be used to serve as support for the argument against it being Michael's funeral. To say i'm being anti progressive by making that point is absurd.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm…Jack tells the court that 8 people survived the flight and 6 made it off the island. Since we know this to be untrue it is not a giant leap in the story to say 6 people could get off the island and two people could stay behind and be said to be dead in the recanting of the story. Also as I mentioned above the "Oceanic Six" are more important than the 8 or 9 in my theory. Maybe none of my 9 Losties who are immune in my theory will die, but I still think we will see some deaths in the faces I have pictured above to get us to the Oceanic Six. I also think that Aaron is going to be able to get off the island “somehow” and will not be considered part of the Oceanic Six. That would explain why Kate is with Aaron if Claire cannot leave the island due to her close proximity to the hatch explosion. "
