I hope you keep your season in perspective too. You beat a decent VT team that barely held off an ok UNC team, and beat an OK WVU team at home who has proven that they are very over-hyped. The section I sat in was the section next to the ECU section in the upper west side. My friend who came with me doesn't have any allegiance either way and asked me after the game if it was normal for visiting fans to be so obnoxious. I heard very little from our section throughout the game until the end after they continually talked shit, mocked our chants, etc.

After the game was over, the silence from over there was sweet.

About the rival thing, it is not even close to being a big rivalry. If they took UNC off of our schedule for a year, we would be pissed... as would they. We don't even want ECU on our schedule. WE(the coaches, fans, etc.) do not get anything out of playing ECU. Yeah, this generates a lot of hype, but it is one sided on the rivalry issue.

^historically, yes we are absolutely ahead of them as a program. i'm just referring to as of right now where we're at. skip has had a couple years head start on TOB and they are a bit more established. obviously that hasn't stopped us from beating them. we will surpass them once again as a program (from a current standpoint) within the next 2 years i think. i would say it could be as soon as this season, but without wilson and irving next week i don't know that i see us beating USF anymore.
