"point stands burro. I said all along that I understand the decision but it is my opinion that you let upstanding guys like Russell Wilson do what they need to do succeed even if that means fucking up your own philosophy for a season or two...in addition to the fact that he let him do it last year."

At no time is one player allowed to be above THE TEAM. TOB is here to build a program. He's not doing his job if he lets one player hold the program hostage for two seasons. Last year is different than this year, we have explained that to you several times. And you clearly haven't paid attention if you didn't see that coming into practice late effected his play. TOB saw that, and knew they were going to go through personnel changes this year and asked him for a commitment. He wouldn't give it, so, TOB had to do his JOB, and move forward to do what is in the best interest to the PROGRAM and the TEAM. It sucks, but it was all Russell's choice.

For suggesting its a bad idea to tell one of the best QB's in NC State history he's not welcome back for his senior season because he missed 2 weeks of practice in the spring for baseball when he was recruited as a 2 sport athlete......ok......thank you for proving my point.

^9-4 and the best ACC season in decades...wow...we really fucked up by letting Russ play baseball last spring. The guy was recruited as a 2 sport athlete. I'm not saying he should hold the team hostage. Wilson has some blame in this, however, he SAYS currently that all he asked for was a fair shot to compete for the starting job this fall, and considering he was recruited as a 2 sport athlete and we let him do it for 4 years, this is unfair to him.

I said in my first post I get what O'Brien is doing, and I think there is stuff we don't know about as far as Glennon goes and his intentions should Wilson have returned....but it still smells bad and I don't like it.

i don't think any of the folks bashing TOB were Lowe supporters.

I've read and heard TOB say several times that he would be welcome back, just not as the starter.

Only miss 2 weeks of spring practice? Could somebody who knows what they're talking about describe when he could potentially come back? I'm under the impression that his baseball season would be even longer this year than last year. Is that right? ( i realize it's already been mentioned a few times, but some people seem to keep missing it)

Sally League plays until early September, plus a few weeks for playoffs.

At the very best, Wilson would be in pads like 24 hours before the first game.

im tired of the "long form" meme but i'd love to also see RW's contract to see if he is contractually obligated to be with his current team (provided he didn't get called up).

If people would take a moment after hearing about a story like this, breathe, rationally consider all the facts, and then post, TWW would be a better place. Folks instead like to jump to conclusions based on whatever opinions they previously held (RW is a golden god, TOB fucked up the Clemson game and should die).

My vast experience as an internet discussionist leads me to believe this will never happen, though.

And that would go over with the fans like a fart in a diving suit as soon as Glennon struggled.

disclaimer: this is from Heather Dinich

But she's ranked Earle Wolfe as #3 Safety in the ACC this year.

He was completely unheard of till he camped at State and earned a scholarship. Love to have 50 more like him honestly. No stars just go out and plant tj yates into the ground or whoever's next to be king of the tar hole.

I guess this ends the discussion over whether we should have hired PJ instead of TOB.

+1TOB. Apparently we are the cleanest program in the ACC.
