The fouls were evened up when UNC would get FT's out of a foul and the big 'make up call' would follow with UNC getting a foul called on them 30 feet from the basket. The goal tending calls were awful, the over the backs were awful, the Henson charge no call was awful and the ones where neither ref knew who hit it out so they just gave it to UNC was awful. All of that killed any momentum we had going. We shot like ****, we didn't deserve to win, but neither did UNC.

We sucked, UNC sucked and so did the officiating. We never get any kind of home court advantage and haven't for 20 years.

i have to say and personally thank all the crazy wild fans that made the intro and 1st half one of the most exciting and loudest atmosphere i've ever heard in my life. it was so loud at one point i could scream and not even hear myself.

we really do have one of the best fan bases AT THE GAME that money can buy. i really wish we had a team that would show up for it every now and then.

i'm fucking sick of being now 7-37 against duke/carolina in basketball in the past 10 years. SEVEN WINS OUT OF FOURTY FOUR CONTESTS. YOU FUCKING SUCK AT PLAYING YOUR RIVALS

from my spot in the student section I would say it was a poor effort for a UNC game. Wasn't really bad but it shouldve been better. I did like the "Dont throw me out Roy" sign the guy behind the UNC bench had

and yea, the game was shitty. we shouldve been up 10 at half with the way UNC played, instead we were 2 javi miracles from being down 10...and it only got worse from there

The crowd and the student section were great as the game started. We played bad in the first half, good at the beginning of the 2nd and shitty for the rest of the 2nd. What do you expect everyone to do? Yell, cheer, scream and support a team that through most of the 2nd half scored less than 20 points?

To the Horner/Wood comments, Horner is fucking nothing when he's not playing well on offense. Same cannot be said for Wood....he brings it on D and rebounds better than Horner anyway...despite being 3 inches shorter and 50 lbs lighter.

By far the loudest I've ever heard RBC. When Sherrill nailed the three to finally give us the lead the entire place was shaking...

Kind of strange the loudest game I've ever been to there wasn't against UNC or Duke... it actually put us in second place in the ACC at the time halfway through the season (we finished 2nd too). A few weeks later we beat #1 Duke who was undefeated at the time. That was the second loudest I've ever heard it.

watching on tv, i agree with the noise... there was none really.

also, I hate this ref talk... we straight up lost. Sure there were 2 goaltendings at key moments, but other than that, I thought the fould calls were consistent. We have to stop this ref blame game. All teams face it and all teams have to overcome it to be decent.

Look, anytime you play a team that consistently pounds it inside trip after trip down the court they are going to get fouls called for them. It's a fact of life.

It's a lot easier to stomach, IMO, than a team full of chuckers from 3 who gets so many foul calls for them.

Well, Bosh has always had a much better mid-range game. Davis needs to be back to the basket to have any chance... Admittedly I don't recall much from Bosh's one season at Tech though. So maybe he developed that at a later stage.

I was making the ref comment because this is my first season of really watching basketball and it's amazing just how absurd the calls can get when you play UNC....

We definitely didn't lose because of the reffing.

My post from page 4. Seriously we should have won that game last night if we could have hit anything from the outside. Yes the officiating was bad, but it was no different than any other horribly officiated ACC game that is norm.

Thing that pissed me off the most was that it was clear that Davis was not hurt or questionable. Fuck Roy's lying ass. We just are not a good team. We have the potential to be a good team, but we do not understand how to handle adversity or how to play a full 40 minutes (outside of the Duke game).

Smith has got to be smarter about getting fouls. We have zero offense without him. Wood was terrible last night, but that's going to happen occasionally. NC State shit that it happened on a rare night when we could have beaten UNC.

I disagree, there were several times last night he took a "ginger" step and was caught on camera wincing. I guarantee you he's pretty sore this morning.

The officiating was god awful (apparently they don't realize there is a possession arrow, and that it does change, UNC got two jump balls in a row), but it's not the reason we lost. We haven't been able to buy a basket the last two games. I'm all for continuing to shoot to get out of your slump, but Wood has got to learn how to create more than just a 3pt for himself because if that's the only shot he's going to take and it's not falling, he's useless on offensive.

All said, if we can continue to improve, which we have, we just seem to have the entire team in a shooting slump, we are going to be pretty strong next season.
