Irving, as I said, is going to win ACC ROY going away. He is so smooth and plays smart. Dukevwas incredibly impressive after the near slip up against a down Marquette. ACC desperately needs duke with the embarrassing start to the year.

UK-UConn should be interesting as they are both high ceiling and incredibly young teams. I'm consistently amazed at how great a game coach Jim Calhoun is. Whether you like him or not, he almost never gets outcoached and his little two fouls and you sit no matter what won the opening game and has won a title in 2004.

Also, Roscoe Smith is going to be nasty. Reminds me a lot of Rudy Gay in college but he is less timid..

He has a rule that if you get two fouls in the first half you don't play again. No exceptions. When Okafor got two cheapies early in 2004 he sat him as Duke rolled to a 10 point lead. K left his big guys in as they got foul after foul after foul. Then down the stretch it was Nick Horvath against a NPOY candidate in the middle and that is where the game was won/lost.

Anyway, boy Jeff Capel looks overmatched. I like him and I realize that Sampson left him in a huge hole but if they lost to Chaminade that is very, very bad.

Well, it cost the best coach in any sport a title didn't it? I didn't say it was revolutionary but sticking to it even in the Final Four was a fantastic move and one a lot of coaches, including the guy across the floor, won't do.

Anyway, this is one of the best consolation games you'll see in a major preseason tournament...

^^ haha, no way. Once Kemba Walker comes back down to earth this team is still very, very young and will be inconsistent. I will say, when they are playing at their best, they can be A LOT better than I thought they could be. I honestly don't think any team in the country would have beat them the way Kemba was playing with Oriakhi last night.
