...and we're still gonna draft him![Edited on April 19, 2011 at 8:51 PM. Reason : img for pg1]

that reminds me of Mario Williams zipping around campus on his scooter/moped thingthough his was not nearly as nice as Newton's
4/19/2011 8:54:12 PM
i mean, i was 99% sure clausen was going to suck ballsim only like 60% sure newton willand the sentiment that even if he does suck, it'll be a more entertaining flavor of suck is on the right trackso fuck it, lets go
4/19/2011 8:56:05 PM
lots of people compare him to Roethlisbergergood to see he won't be flying through downtown at 70mph on that liquorcycle]
4/19/2011 9:00:29 PM
at least Roethlisberger learned through trial and error that helmets are a good thing, not just between the feet decorations like some people
4/19/2011 9:06:46 PM
4/19/2011 9:09:48 PM
that's probably close to what he looked like after crashing face-first into a windshieldalso, came across this gem with a google image search for "roethlisberger motorcycle accident":
4/19/2011 9:14:52 PM
Wonder if thats a sheet or shower curtain
4/19/2011 9:34:05 PM
to me it looks like a parachute to me
4/19/2011 9:36:01 PM
It's gonna be hard to finish this hot pocket now
4/19/2011 9:36:34 PM
I'm interested in getting a few tickets to the GB game on the 18th (if there is a season). I've never bought panther tickets before, can I just buy them on their website? Any idea of face value for decent seats?
4/19/2011 10:56:04 PM
when they tank the season, stubhub will usually have some great deals on lower level seats
4/19/2011 10:57:44 PM
^^what is decent to you? i believe face value for most upper level seats is around 65-75obviously much more for lower level and club level
4/19/2011 11:02:24 PM
^^^how many is a few
4/19/2011 11:16:03 PM
Stupid Fuck
4/20/2011 2:45:38 PM
yes sir, i'm sick
4/20/2011 2:47:47 PM
slave famous shouldn't have given him that handy after the Ark/SC game4 loko's a bitch
4/20/2011 3:09:25 PM
Don't act like you didn't watch and jerk off
4/20/2011 3:14:21 PM
his agent says he really was sick (of course) and that he was in his hotel room by 10pm that night. he added that Mallett met with Chudzinski in the morning but was too sick to continue the day's meetings.i'll believe reporters over an agent who represents a player's best interests any day. what agent would say "yeah, he was drunk as shit and smoking blunts all night."?
4/20/2011 3:16:50 PM
This guy
4/20/2011 3:21:25 PM
he might be the worst sports agent of all timeno wait, he definitely ishe never got a fair shake with the Hornets
4/20/2011 3:22:27 PM
4/20/2011 4:47:19 PM
Never buy Panthers or Bobcats tickets until 15 minutes before the start of the gameThats a rule
4/20/2011 6:04:54 PM
^ yep... and^^^^ love the nickelodeon in the bg
4/20/2011 9:40:14 PM
We pretty much knew this already but it hurts to see it in printhttp://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/04/26/steve-smith-cleaned-out-locker-suite-in-carolina-before-lockout/
4/26/2011 11:46:30 AM
maybe the Panthers don't want Newton? who the hell knows, but i liked reading this article because i don't want Cam Newton anywhere near BofA Stadiumhttp://www.cbssports.com/#!/nfl/story/14991408/panthers-passing-on-newton-or-just-blowing-smoke
4/26/2011 12:07:40 PM
if the panthers draft cam newton i will officially denounce my fanhood and become a full chargers fan.
4/26/2011 12:10:44 PM
0 chance they take newton if the lockout injunction holds and they operate under last years rules...no way they'll invest 50mil+ guaranteed in him
4/26/2011 1:03:41 PM
drafting newton gives the same feeling as hiring sidney lowe, that and steve smith reportedly cleaning out his locker prob means it's time for me to peace out as a panthers fan for a while
4/26/2011 4:47:05 PM
fairweather fans ITT
4/26/2011 4:48:54 PM
i loved how during the 1-15 season, people trashed the panthersthen two years later, they make a playoff push and go to the Super Bowl, and everyone has loved them all along
4/26/2011 4:51:07 PM
I know WAY too many people who weren't fans before that super bowl runone of them has a Panther tattoo
4/26/2011 5:00:15 PM
4/26/2011 5:04:14 PM
it's a little more complicated than that because of the uncertain labor situation last offseason, but i hear ya...2-14 is awful and i feel like Richardson should have gotten rid of Fox instead of making him a lame duck head coach. i feel that Fox threw in the towel.

Panties are spreading rumors about Newton to get one of the suckers (read: Redskins, Raiders) to trade up for him. Ideally they trade the pick.If not, Steve Smith to Cincy for Carson Palmer and Dareus with the #1 pick.
4/26/2011 7:18:18 PM
If I'm not mistaken, I heard a day or two ago that because of the lockout, teams can only trade pick for pick...so no trading the number 1 pick for another pick plus a player.
4/26/2011 8:20:03 PM
the lockout is overand why would Steve Smith want to play for the Bengals]
4/26/2011 8:52:37 PM
He asked to be traded. Does he have a no-trade clause letting him pick which teams he can go to? If not, who cares if he wants to go to Cincy.
4/26/2011 8:58:27 PM
I figured he wants out of here because he's got Clausen underthrowing him all the time. I'm saying who is gonna throw him the ball in Cincinnati if Palmer isn't there. And while I was a big fan of Palmer about 5 years ago, he's really shut the bed the last few seasons and has never been able to fully come back from injury. Plus he might just retire at any given moment (based on his comments a couple months ago)I don't want Palmer as any type of long term solution
4/26/2011 9:06:31 PM
theres a good chance palmer is finishedi'd take him anyway
4/26/2011 9:18:12 PM
^^ Gotcha - I was hoping that Palmer was a product of gong show coaching, and we can pick him up at a low price. Would love to make a run at Kolb, not sure what we could offer Philly though (besides draft picks, which we do like to throw around like $1 bills at Pure Gold)
4/26/2011 9:35:56 PM
until the "stay" is resolved, no players can be traded yet. it's also unlikely that this will be resolved by thursday unless judge nelson gives more specific verbiage in regards to her ruling on lifting the lockout. so for now, picks are all that can be traded. according to draft pick value charts, for a team to move up to #1 without trading a player, they would have to trade almost all of their top value draft picks. (a la Saints going for Ricky Williams). i can't see any can't miss player that a team would be willing to give up so much for.this will explain it all better than i ever possibly could:http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/football/nfl/04/26/lockout.ap/index.html?eref=sihp[Edited on April 26, 2011 at 10:00 PM. Is Matt Moore permanently done with us? After glimmers in y1 before he shut the bed and got injured in yr2.... maybe he's due in yr3?
4/26/2011 10:00:36 PM
at this point, unless someone wants to pay him more $ or he wants to leave, i'm sure he'll get a shot. he is a FA though, i believe.
4/26/2011 10:02:46 PM
here's a link to draft value charts that teams use to determine value when trading pickshttp://www.draftcountdown.com/features/Value-Chart.phpnot sure how familiar people are with this...since right now players cannot be traded, you would have to equal the 3,000 point value for the #1 pick with an assortment of draft picks in order to move up, which looks unlikely at this point

I was extremely disappointed when Carolina took Clausen when McCoy was still on the board. I felt like that kid was a winner and despite his lack of height would have been a much better choice as evident by at least looking fairly good in Cleveland.
4/27/2011 2:16:55 PM
i'm skeptical of people saying that clausen was a sure bust while also saying newton will be better. besides douchey photos online, what exactly led you to believe he'd suck? he played in a pro-style offense and put up awesome numbers.
4/27/2011 3:37:37 PM
Even if Clausen turns out be decent, I just plain don't like the motherfuckerReminds me too much of
