Fuck ESPN. They act like the ACC has always been a two-team league. This is precisely why I watched the ACC/Raycom feed--at least their announcers are more objective.

On the officiating, the team should have known that once those crooked refs decided to honor Karl Hess that we wouldn't get ANY benefit of the doubt on close calls.

Usually against Carolina its only 2 or 3 bad calls in the worst games but today it was 5 or 6. This was the worst i've ever seen. It all started in the 2nd half. This was much worse than the Duke game because the Duke game was a consistent increase in the frequency of fouls after halftime. This was all against us.

The brown charge out top was awful. He was barely even moving and nowhere near enough to knock someone over.

The wood call on zeller was because zeller jumped into him

the wood foul on barnes was horseshit. there was virtually no contact.

The leslie charge was a blocking foul. should have been 3pt play.

The howell charge was a clear flop.

The wood turnover was stolen out of bounds.

The marshall game-winner was a dropped shoulder easy charge call

The Howell catch at the end was iffy but was much more of a foul than anything else called on us.

Even with how bad the refs were, we still controlled our own fate.

Painter lost us the game.

We also went away from our good players way too much. It's a simple fucking fact that our stars will cause more good things to happens than the role players. The stars even help the role players look better. Sometimes, we run our offense as if every player is equal, and that's not the case.

Once we get the details right and are able to really discern how much better our good players are, then we will start winning these close games.

The goal for next year and any NCAA tournament run should be to get 3-4 plays better. That's fully within our control to do. Quit blaming the refs and focus on how we can make 3-4 more plays go our way.

^^^^^Leslie was begging for calls every single time down the court. That may have led to 1 easy UNC bucket, and it most certainly led to them fucking him over.

We are good enough to beat the refs AND UNC. Instead of focusing on the ref sideshow (which doesn't improve us at all), look at how we could have played better and do that the next time around. We cannot get better by focusing on the refs.

the team played with great intensity and fire after leslie fouled out. that was unexpected, at least imo. that was nice to see. i don't normally pull for duke...but i hope they win today and thump unc tomorrow.

So basically we have to play perfect to have a shot. teams make mistakes, carolina makes mistakes, we shouldnt be held to playing at a higher level than our opponents just to have a shot at winning the game.
