Why would anyone expect us to be on the bubble? We have lost to every tournament level team so far as well as teams like Wofford. We desperately need at least one of the next 3 games to even sniff the bubble at this point. Plenty of time to turn it around now that ACC season has started but we probably need at least 11 wins now to feel comfortable.

we had like 7 or 8 football players suspended for 1 game for something similar. i wouldn't kick him off the team for it. that's a bit extreme, imo.

Yeah, it's a f'ing air soft gun. How many of played with bb guns in the woods as young children? It was stupid to be running around with it and shooting at a car, but apparently he knew the "victim". Suspend him for his first several games and be done with it.

But how can you be charged with "discharging a firearm in city limits"? An air or spring gun doesn't meet the definition of "firearm", does it?

no idea exactly what the letter of the law is, but i'd assume the restrictions on a bb gun and a real gun are kinda the same within city limit like that. so this sounds much harsher than it really is. still a really stupid thing to do - especially after the football team had a problem with this earlier.

I'd almost rather avoid the bad loss that inevitably comes against FSU if we beat UNC and just go ahead and lose to UNC so we can beat FSU.

FSU has an RPI of 151. That would be ugly.

the rpi also doesnt work that way. if we beat unc (we wont, fuck roy) and lose to fsu instead of hte other way around the difference in the rpi would be like 1 spot, and it would probably be 1 spot higher

WVU winning by 23 over #18 Oklahoma and Tennessee by 5 over #19 Arkansas (despite their best efforts to blow it and the refs screwing them) should be nice boosts to our RPI, although it's still all about us taking care of our own business at this point.

i'd be alright with us going 2-2 over the next 4, but 3-1 would be awesome. it'd be really nice to go 3-0 over the "easy" stretch (CLEM, @GT, @WF) that follows though, especially since that would virtually guarantee us having a .500 or above conference record.
