I actually couldn't ask for a better ending to Carolina's attempt to win the ACC Championship.

Oh and the conspiracy will be that the ACC wanted to assure the payoff for a team making the playoffs and if UNC won that was not assured

I've always pulled for Air Force due to my father's service, and by extension since the Air Force was born out of the Army I pull for Army in the Army-Navy game. But I will say that Navy's helmets are amazing.

The army Navy game is the biggest fraud of a "big event" in all of sports. Both teams are usually bad and at least one team is always bad. Schedule this game 2 weeks ago and nobody watches. UNC NC State was a bigger game than this.

if i did indeed stand alone, the game would be played during rivalry week.

This will be the first time most people see army play and probably the 2nd or 3rd time for navy despite being a pretty good team.

Not many people would watch this over the iron bowl, osu/michigan, nd/stanford, or any of the conference championship games.

Of course they moved it to its own weekend, so people would actually watch since no one would care when it was played at the same time as bigger games. I think that is great though because it is a pretty cool rivalry. As for your comment about NCSU/UNC, I will say I always enjoyed it more when they played in October. Our game with UNC pretty much goes unnoticed when it is played at the same time as OSU/Michigan and right before Alabama/Auburn, or FSU/Florida.

In Henry's defense, he did break some hallowed SEC records and was his best during some of their biggest games. Saban ran his ass Spurrier/Lattimore style (i.e. 40+ carries).

But I agree that McCaffery's season was more impressive and Watson deserved much more love than he got. Three really solid choices this season as opposed to some years when it's a clear #1.

Henry's a system back. the only difference between him this year and most of the other RB's under Saban is that there wasn't a backup to take some of the carries. I'd have to go back and check, but heading in to the SEC title game, he wasn't in the Top 3 Bama running backs under saban for YPC for those with 100+ carries in a season.

Even in the SEC title game, almost all of his yards were gained outside the florida 40. He had 2 or 3 carries for double digit yards inside the 40 and 10 of 14 other carries went 3 yards or less. Even his TD took him 2 tries from the 1 yard line.

Yeah, he broke the Walker record (in 2 more games), but this is like giving the Heisman to Ron Dayne. It will not hold up to the test of time.
