When the dust settles I do hope the media focuses on trumps mass deportation scheme. Eisenhower tried it to get rid of Latinos, they scooped up 1.3M people but had a lot of legal citizens caught too, and was generally a huge failure

The number of deportable people in America has been dropping since 2006 so it’s not even a real problem, but would be much more bigger violation of human rights than Eisenhower

I guess it depends on what you mean by "less palatable." In a vacuum, yeah, she's probably less palatable than Biden...but that's like asking me to choose between two different plates of doo-doo for dinner*. I don't know that it really matters that much.

The other way to look at it is which one is more likely to beat Trump, which is what I really care about more than anything else. In that sense, I don't think either of them are very good, either, but I think she's the least bad option that the Dems have. In that sense, she has been my choice for weeks now.

* I like President Biden as a dude. I think he has run an acceptably competent administration. I mostly just disagree with him fundamentally, ideologically.

Watch this closely. “She’s a cop” was a pretty brutal attack on her in the 2016 primary amongst young people. I bet in the next 4-6 weeks the ratfucking/bots/algorithm has totally changed the attitude on social media. How much of that is organic and how much is astroturfed will always be debatable. But damn, social media manipulating the national conversation is beyond creepy.

There are some pretty money moves they could make to attack this head on though. The Biden admin seems like it is getting close to descheduling MJ. The Harris campaign should figure out the best way to launch off of that.
