I actually just started playing on stars man, but i play as bschrade, playing small bc i didn't want to use my live roll, but after donking around for the 1st month trying to adjust to online play I think i'm starting to get the hang of it . Figured i'd try to build my roll small online since i figured there'd be a learning curve going from live to online, which there definetly was......the numbers look pretty good for nov and dec though, oct was a donkfest

Looks like you play alot of 4/180s. We should have a showdown haha.
Some dudes on 2p2 just had a challenge where they started playing at the same time and raced to see who would win won first, it was kinda cool. Only ended up taking like 7 tournaments for 1 guy. 12/11/2007 12:18:03 PM |

when the 20/180s first came out (and were the only 180s) i used to be involved with the 2+2 dudes doing 20/180 challenges, where you'd have 3 days to put up your 10 best finishes for entries
that was the toughest 3 days the 20/180s ever were, considering the overlay with everyone putting up a hundo too
i made 2 FTs where every player was a 2+2r
IIRC the last one i played the winner had something absurd like 6 wins in 3 days. 12/11/2007 1:00:30 PM |

^damn, that is RIDICULOUS
dman, i'll do a showdown with you if you want, just for fun? top 10 finishes in a week? 10pts for 1st, 1 for 10th, scaled 1pt for each spot between, .5pts for 10-18? open to everyone i guess, don't know if you guys would wanna play those though.
we can bet money too if you want, but i don't really care about that.

it's amazing how often you'll get called with like ace high when you bet 5x the pot

ya.. weird line for me I mean
I just felt like I was gonna have a hard time barrelling 3 streets of value from this player, but he might get curious if I showed a little weakness early in the hand
I wasnt real thrilled when he pushed by the way, but there's no way I'm folding there especially when I played it like this. Seemed 50/50 that he has AJ or JJ here though, I would much rather him call turn and my shove on river with AQ or something.

So this has been my month so far at NL:
Come out of the gates and fall flat on my face for the first thousand hands. Fuck around and break even for the next 5.5k hands. Then win it all back in my last 500 tonight. All things considered, -$40 feels pretty good right about now.
I just gotta recoup some LHE and HU losses and it'll be all good.

Bodog finally is doing player points for cash bonus....it's 667 points for $10. Currently I have over 16,000 points so that's about $240.
I was so excited about getting a $240 bonus for all my points that I never used until I read further.
For every 3 player points you earn, you get $1 of that $240. So basically it's like a signup bonus except the fact that I already earned all those points and I have to earn more to make them worth something. Fuck that shit.
Bodog is such bullshit. 12/12/2007 3:08:40 PM |

Also, if we did 50, I guess there is a chance we won't be ITM for top 10, so heres what the Wednesday night 4/180 challenge I do on 2p2 uses for the scoring:
180-150th = 0 points 149-120th = 0.5 points 119-100th = 1 point 99-80th = 2 points 79-60th = 3 points 59-40th = 4 points 39-30th = 5 points 29-20th = 7 points 19th = 9 points 18-15th = 10 points 14-10th = 12 points 9th = 15 points 8th = 17 points 7th = 19 points 6th = 21 points 5th = 24 points 4th = 27 points 3rd = 30 points 2nd = 35 points 1st = 40 points 12/12/2007 5:33:13 PM |

Anyone else see Shawn Sheikhan might get deported? This is from his Wiki page.
Quote : | "[edit] Arrest and possible deportation Sheikhan, a resident alien since he was nine years old, was arrested at his Las Vegas home on August 30th, 2007 for violating his immigration status due to a 1995 conviction for misdemeanor sexual battery on a child under 18, where he served nine months in prison and 5 years probation[2]. He was detained on an immigration hold for 1 week, facing deportation proceedings, however those proceedings have been since halted [3].
