i ended up ordering the dresses i posted on the last page (the first 2) because they are both eligible for return

so if they don't fit i'll just mail them back. i liked them (esp the first one) too much to not at least TRY. and the weather recently has been making me dream of summer and sundresses!!!

has anyone checked ideeli.com today?!?! there is some INCREDIBLE stuff for cheap. the sales started while i was at work so i missed a lot of the stuff i wanted (C&C california, lila p...though i did snag a cardigan, american apparel, french connection, etc). but there is still so much good stuff left. i got a top for $11 and a lila p cardy for cheap. there are french connection dresses for like $20, people. this is insane. too bad the sales started at 11am so it is slightly picked over. i grabbed some stuff though. if you haven't joined, consider NOT doing it because it is really addicting haha. BUT actually you get amazing deals so it is worth it (if you can find something you like for cheap. i only really buy tops because bottoms are more tricky. unless it is a brand i already own then i know my size)

haha omg i got a giant black eye (and a facial laceration ) during drunken escapades a few years ago

go to sephora (or where ever else sells bareMinerals) and go get the multi-tasking Bisque concealer (available in summer bisque as well) and the little concealer brush. they look like

they are absolutely worth the money. once the swelling went down no one could even tell i had a black eye if I had it on. the stupid thing was there for at least a month

just apply lotion/moisturizer before putting on the powder so it has something to stick to and viola!

So you know how they have that art walk in downtown Raleigh? well they had the streets blocked off and you can walk around and go to bars and look at art and whatnot. Some of the art galleries have wine tasting. But like any outdoor festival you sometimes encounter an unsavory element ... Anyway me, Erik, and some friends from Raleigh were at one of the bars with outdoor seating. It was pretty crowded out cause of the nice weather, so we had to wait a while to get a table. Meanwhile this other group of girls had come up behind us and it was pretty clear they were trying to take our spot in line. They were pretty wasted and one blonde was being particularly bitchy. She also had a shitty little Jack Russel terrier with her that was yapping constantly and jumping on strangers. Of course she thought that was totally funny and cute.

Well her and her friends kept trying to stand ahead of us in line ... luckily the hostess recognized that we were there first and let us go ahead. Blondie was very unhappy about that. Anyway we finally got a table and Blondie's group ended up right next to us. She kept getting louder and more belligerent as the night went on. I tried to ignore her but she didn't seem to want to leave us alone. She was also being rude to the waitress, saying stuff like, "I want another shot NOW." Things started to get bad when her shitty little dog actually took a shit between our two tables. It was pretty clear she wasn't going to pick it up. Well we were eating and I decided I should say something. So I go up to her and say, "Excuse me, your dog just shit there and I think you should pick it up. There are people eating out here." Blondie says, "Do you have a PROBLEM? Cause it sounds like you have a PROBLEM." I was very calm and said I just thought she should pick up her dog's shit. She kept yelling and making a scene and I started backing away to go sit back down. Luckily a bouncer heard what was going on and headed towards us. He asked if there was a problem and Blondie says "FINE then I'm LEAVING." As she turned away she threw her hands up and wacked me right in the eye. I was pretty toasted myself so it didn't hurt that bad at the time. I had no idea the bruise was going to look so bad! But I called my mom and told her the whole story. My mom got scared and said, "You're moving in with your auntie and uncle in bel air." I whistled for a cab and when it came near, the license said Fresh and it had dice in the mirror. If anything I could say this cab was rare. But I thought, nah, forget it. Yo holmes, to bel air! (just kidding, it was an injury from playing underwater hockey)

omg i FINALLY got new (old) makeup.

so i had been using this one kind from target that is like $30 which for me is expensive (i know it isn't bobby brown or mac expensive, but still). it is a tinted moisturizer. and then i ran out and was like there MUST be a drug store equivalent. so i tried to find one. NO LUCK. i gave up. i swear...good makeup is just WORLDS better than drug store (ie: cover girl ish) stuff. at least for me. all the stuff i try of cover girl, almay, etc etc is just so oily (and i have dry skin) and never really matches my complexion. so i gave in and went back to what i had been using.

SO i got the tinted moisturizer again:


it is called memory foundation, but it is (and says on the back) just a lightweight tinted moisturizer. SO lightweight, not greasy. it looks natural AND it stays put all day and looks just as fresh as when you first put it on.

but my FAVORITE thing i got was this:


i decided to try it since it is like a cheaper version of bare minerals and i was curious because i'd heard good things about the brand. it RULES. the concealer (my face has been broken out because of stress) ROCKS. and the blush is awesome too. super duper light and natural looking. i haven't tried bare minerals so i don't know how the quality compares, but i have tried the neutrogena minerals stuff and this (in my opinion anyway) is way way better.

today i took a 2 hour nap and when i woke up all the makeup still looked the same as when i put it on this morning! after a few weeks of wearing shitty makeup it is just so refreshing to find something that is light and looks natural. now i remember why i paid extra for it the first time. PLUS since i've been wearing it my skin looks much much better.

anyways, i was excited and wanted to share haha.
