i seriously can't find a single redeeming thing about my impending 28th birthday. i'm like, spiraling down into this horrible depression about how i'm gonna be 28 years old, married almost 2 years, and i still have no desire for kids. we should be starting a family by now! but we're not. and if you look at the numbers, we probably should start thinking about and planning for children if we want them at all....but we're not.

at the rate these years are going by, i'll be 40 before i know it. god damn.

I hate wearing heels because they're noisy when I walk down the wall, thus making everyone look at me. Sometimes they glance and immediately look away which is fine, but sometimes they take a double look and it makes me self-conscious, like there is something on my face or a button is undone.

My confession is that up until 2 weeks ago, I hadn't heard a Lady Gaga song all the way through either. I just had this underlying hatred for her for some reason, so anytime I heard a song I changed the station.

But outta the blue, I decided I wanted to see one of her music videos, just for the crazy outfits and choreography. So I watched the Bad Romance music video and the song just sorta CLICKED for me. And now I can't stop listening to it

I'll be over it in a month.

My mother is just a few hundreths of a point (on the diagnostic test) shy from being diagnosed with lupus. That diagnosis would qualify her for a state-run (or state-sponsored?) high-risk insurance program: that is, she'd have insurance for real, and not just in name only.

Cancer and a history of suicide attempt would also qualify her (dad already qualifies via another condition). I offered to coach her on staging a successful but safe suicide attempt. She said no.

So now we're waiting for spring's skin cancer awareness/screening fairs, and I'm hoping that suspicious spot on her face is skin cancer. But not melanoma

it's more about convincing the right people that you meant it, than it is about the method

And there are certain statements/sentiments that must always be given further consideration. Make those statements, and then in subsequent interviews, don't convince them that you aren't a danger to yourself, and you'll be committed. Hey...maybe thats why she said no!
