In the Clone Wars cartoons Mace crushes Grievous' chest in one of their battles.

I thought the movie was the best of the new 3, and ranks in my list right behind ESB. There wasn't much room to improvise in this movie, it was pretty much laid out for them before they made it. Going in I knew how all of the main guys died aside from Mace, but it makes sense why/how he died.

And my friend commented on Die Hard as well when Yoda was running through the little crawl space to the speeder after fighting Sidious.

If you really liked ESB, I don't see how you wouldn't like this one, because it is definitely as dark if not more dark than ESB and that is usually what makes people really like ESB, personally I prefer RotJ, but that's just me.

Oh yeah, the Millenium Falcon was a nice add-in, it was also shown in I believe Episode II, but it might have been I, can't remember.

Did anyone else catch George Lucas and his son in the film? Nice little thing to look out for if you haven't seen it yet.

Pretty much. Palpatine could have destroyed Windu whenever he wanted. The entire movie is a scheme by Palpatine to sway Anakin and keep him loyal.

horrible acting. the plot line was good, but more complex than other STAR WARS movies. When Padme names her kids it was kinda disappointing. As when Darth Vader "Screams" at the end. He sounded like a little pansy. Why was Chewbacca there? that was radom. I always thought chewie was just another "scoundrel" smuggler like Han, not some warrior (like a friggin clingon). It was better than I and II but sucked compared to the others

Chewie gets captured by the empire. Han saves his life and so Chewie owes him a life debt. Chewie was just hanging out on his planet, trying to save it.

Heres the ultimate question, Why did Kinobi and Yoda Change the message at the jedia temple to change the message? Couldn't they sense that they were the only remaining jedia? It would seem that this was just a filler by Lucus... Another director like in one or two would notice such subtle things... I compare this movie in many ways to lord of the rings. Every new movie that came out you know would be better then the next. Peter Jackson holds a movie togther. We know that King Kong whenever it comes out will probabley be better than the original. Simply put Lucus is done directing films.. Atleast we can hope...

Ok look, we're all in agreement that Palpatine was pretty on the ball, right? Well, he's not going to have a monumental mental breakdown and shoot lightning into something that's obviously going to reflect right back into his face unless he's playing possum. All movie (and book) Palpatine is talking in Anakin's ear about how it's the Jedi's plan to destroy him. They want to kill him.

So when Anakin, still pretty unsure about what to do, rolls up and finds a horribly disfigured and old Palpatine laying underneath the blade of one of the only three black people in the galaxy, who is he going to try and help/protect? The aggressor who has already admitted he's going to violate the Jedi Code and kill Palpatine or the dude who just looked like he got his ass kicked who has been telling you for the longest time the Jedi want him dead.

If there's any indication of just how big a farce the whole thing is, just watch how quickly Palpatine returns to form after Anakin attacks Windu. He completes the scene as though he wasn't even in a life threatening fight.

Because he wasn't.

we could all sit here and analyze the reasons which brought popular characters into the prequels, and compare to how the actual plot of the originals are conflicting.

Or we could all just realize that Lucas put these characters in the story to re-familiarize people with pop icons in order to make a dollar, instead of even really caring about the storyline.

I have always sided with the Empire. They have the organization and only seek to bring order and stability to the galaxy. If the Battle of Endor were to really happen the rebellion would have been crushed then and there. Even if they managed to blow up DS2 there were still many Imperial capital ships that never entered the battle. (As a side note, one A-wing is NOT going to take out the super star destroyer) It would have been like the Battle of Hoth all over again. The empire would have come in, kicked butt and then taken names.

I have more, but it's time to leave from work.

How do you know that Yoda and Kenobi were the only Jedi still alive at the point? We see the recognizable faces from the Jedi Council killed, but it's not like there were only a dozen Jedis. The number was in the hundreds. There are still probably a handful of Jedi spread out over the galaxy doing their thing on planets in the outer rim where the clone army didn't have a strong presence.


And at the very least, Anakin was still alive at that point and not known to have turned to the Dark Side.

At that time, they werent. Only those at the jedi at the temple, and some of those with republic troops were killed. Many survived the rebublic betrayal, and many also were elsewhere in the galaxy doing other jedi shit. In the 20 some odd years between ep3 and 4, The Emperor and Vader hunted down and killed dozens more jedi. Supposedly, even in 4-6, there were still a small few scattered jedi remaining, in hiding like yoda and obi-won.

Chewie was suppose to be in the film, Chewie was a general for the Wookies, that's why he is in the command room with Tarpool(I think that's right) and Yoda. If he HADN'T been in this movie, I would have been very dissapointed because he was suppose to be fighting with Yoda on his home planet.

They actually had written in Han Solo into this movie in many of the drafts from what I've read, but they decided to take him out.

Interestingly, Chewbacca is in the movie only. He doesn't appear in the book at all.

Alright, time to put in my two cents. I have to put this one as #2 behind ESB, and just behind ANH. It really does accentuate ANH, and while Lucas didn't explain every single thing to put the two trilogies together, I think he did enough to appease most of the masses.

Some of the dialogue was pretty cheezy. There weren't too many memorable one liners, but I thought that the movie had the best dramatic dialogue of the six. I thought Hayden did better acting than a lot of people give him credit for. I loved the overall story of Vader's transformation. For me, that was the most important part, and it met my expectations.

That would explain why Jabba refers to him as "the mighty Chewbaca" in episode 6. That always sort of confused me since they portrayed Chewie as kind of soft-hearted and at times even frightened in the OT.

anakin told padme in episode II that obi-wan was as powerful as master windu and as wise as master yoda

he was giving obi-wan a compliment after he had just bitched and complained about him

it doesn't mean he definitely is as strong and wise as those two, it was just anakin praising his master

and obviously we see in episode II and III that yoda is far wiser than obi-wan, obi-wan is always having yoda figure things out for him and he comes across as very ignorant, clueless, and cheery in episode III
