Our Mod is comming along quite nice so far.

We have a good base community so far and our models are pretty hot in-game.

We have a mini-mod right now but the full mod with all teh models will be ready soon.

hahah i got kicked from a server for swearing once

but at least it was real swearing, not "crap"

i told a bus full of morons who ran over my mine to "watch where the fuck you are going dumbasses" and was promptly kicked



and yes, sometimes this game is frustrating. however breezer, if you join the TWL team i promise that in at least the first couple matches, the most frustrating thing will be if the other team doesn't show up for their ass whipping. we would beat the shit out of the teams we play until we get to maybe the top 40 or so.

Ooooo try the tacticalgamer.com server that's out there. Required to join a squad and the people commanding them (well, at least half of the squads) know what they're doing! I did some fun stuff on there. First time in a while that I really got a lot of points.

My favorite part of this game is that I'm finally getting better at the jet. I especially love the part when I'm banking or maneuvering and I see "Connection Problem.." and BAM. I've crashed.

I fly pretty well with a mouse, just crank the sensitivity up and be real careful. Helicopters are another story however.

I've gotten pretty decent with a helicopter.. but my problem is I tend to pay much less attention while I am flying a helicopter as opposed to when I am running around on foot. This means that occasionally I wind up running into something just about of being really relaxed and not compensating for my angles.. (like if you hear me say I ran out of room on the mousepad you know what happened - I stopped paying attention to the fact I needed to move the mouse back some)

and damn AIM for being the cause of so many deaths - I always start playing out of the blue when someone is on xfire so I just hit join and forget to put up away messages

Logitech 3D Extreme joysticks are perfect. Maugan and I both use them, I'm sure others do too. The new version has a few more buttons than the old one, which is great. I use the hat switch to change views on the plane and I have the other buttons mapped for primary & secondary fire, eject, parachute, afterburner, flares, and weapons 1 & 2. The stick itself is great because you can set up the twist as the rudder which some cheaper sticks don't have, plus it has a throttle.

Only $20 at Wal-Mart. It's one of the best flight sticks I've ever used, and that's still surprising to me since it's so cheap in price. The hand molding is ambidextrous, and it's got a good throttle on the base as well.

It does twist for rudder control. The wrist rest makes it exceptionally easy. I definitely wouldn't have bought it if it didn't have that feature.

I have a Logitech Wingman Attack 2 that I got in 2002 and it works great. Four buttons on the actual stick that I use for primary fire, secondary fire, afterburner, and flare. Two on the base that I use for right and left rudder. Throttle bar on the base.

basically because it doesn't show up as a kill up in the top left when you blow up that shit. You also do not get spec ops teamwork points for doing it either.

you get explosives points when it says

Maugan_Ra [C4] Some_Dumb_Shit

135-0 is easy on a 64 player gulf of oman or daquing oilfields map, and you've got a wingman that actually covers your butt when bombing.

Ha yeah it would be nice to actually have a wingman to help you out so that rather then spending 5 mins trying to get someone off your tail, you could have killed a bunch of guys. Instead the other person in the plane just crashes it into enemy helicopters (hostile or friendly).

Taking off or in mid flight? And with the chin gun or the missiles? If you shot it down with a Hellfire, then I'd be damned impressed.

Funniest plane kill I ever had was when I caught an F-35 hovering over part of the battlefield while I happened to be in a tank. He must have been about 250 yards away, but I took a big guess and let fly. I couldn't stop laughing for the remainder of the round when I got him on the first shot. I still wish I had thought to take a screenshot!

Fortunately for me, I just got my second gig of RAM in the post today and am going to pick up my new soundcard hopefully before the night is over. Once I install that along with my new fan and then reformat for good measure, I'll finally be back in action. Hot damn. It's been much too long.

i was in the Cobra and just took off from the Carrier (still above the carrier) on Oman.


my missile lock buzzer starts going insane so i swivel in time to see the plan coming right at me, i bank right and plug off as many rockets and as soon as he passes me some of the rockets hit and he goes down in a satisying explosion.

Anyone else get an unusual amount of satisfaction when you are in a helo and you do a strafing run on a unsuspecting boat?



Now having seen how fast these helos are. I think it would be fun as shit to zip around a map unloading abunch of guys into flag areas. If they are indeed as fast as I think they should be, I beleive it might be very difficult to get shot down.

To bad its in the realitymod and not the regular game.

yeah - anytime I get a chance to ride with Maug to target with some missles I'll do it - can see everything in the viewer the way he combs the area

Yeah well you do that and you get 5 punishes. And you can't punish them cause they didn't kill you. Or even if you are waiting for a plane, there are usually a few guys standing around doing stupid shit like jumping all over the place, shooting the ground, hitting the ground with the knife repeatedly. Then there is the one guy who goes around and shoots everyone once and runs away. Idiots.
