Quote :
"BLACK AND GOLD EXPECTED TO SWARM RALEIGH
Anticipation and expectations are at an all-time high for Appalachian football in 2006 and the interest in the season opener at NC State is certainly no exception.

Appalachian’s entire allotment of 3,300 tickets to the game were sold out within 58 minutes of them being put on sale to the general public on August 1.

Additionally, a lottery system had to be established to ensure a fair distribution of tickets to the game for ASU students. Over 2,300 vouchers were distributed in four hours on Aug. 24 for the 375 tickets available to ASU students."

Not if I have any say in it. Let's throw balloons filled with red paint at the Happy Appies to rid ourselves of the disaster to our eyes that is the color combination of Black and Gold.

j/k black and gold isn't that bad, and the balloons filled with red paint will be reserved for Carolina students trying to paint our tunnel this year.

Wow talk about exaggeration. 3300 people = swarm? Then what the fuck do you call it when every other ACC school sells out Duke's stadium for them. An invasion and occupation?

we're gonna go 3-0. the bc game is a key crossroads of our season. if we can somehow win that game it will give us attention, ranking and confidence to compete the rest of the season. we must win at least 2 acc games.

When we beat the "#1 ranked" App State it will only enforced the differece between 1-AA and 1-A. I think it's very similar to when people compare great college teams to NFL teams. The Detroit Lions would have kicked USC's ass the last few years.

Before you get too cocky if you don't think ASU could hang with or beat Duke or ECU, then you are wrong my friend.

I can agree with that, I guess I'm thinking of an average, go 6-6 in division 1 team. Not that we are that good or that bad, but it's an honest comparison.

I know it's a day to day thing. Does anyone know if they will have the new video boards done? They said weather pending. I'm in the new section which is awesome but I wouldn't be able to see replays or intros unless I pull like a bottleneck move and turn my head around a lot.

^^right b/c you can't support more than one sport at a time

seriously, how hard would it be to start a chant for him? you know they are bound to show coach lowe on the jumbotron at somepoint during the game. should we not cheer for him b/c we have to focus on football?

I would think that they will have the video boards done by gameday (as suggested in an article on gopack.com), unless they want to see the congestion of the turning backs of approx. 7,100 Wolfpack fans after every play... lol
