in halo 2 we would make a custom with plasma pistol as the starting weapon, no weapons on map, and the map covenant flavored (grenades on map are sticky) or there was some option for that.

There's a separate option for that, grenade regeneration or something, it regenerates a grenade every 5 seconds or so.

just read bungies weekly update stuff. someone asked bout new maps in the making, along with remakes of older maps. they said that they have plenty maps in the making but didnt say when they would be out, also later in the update they said "..however we are remaking chiron.." (halo 1 map with tons of portals) should be fun.

that's a great update...addresses two questions I had about floating objects in forge, and how to play back a video at fast forward speed without holding the trigger, but unfortunately confirms a fear i had about the replay system where you can't "skip" forward

i get probably 20 kills on average, but i die a lot becasue i really like to get right in the action, and up front and personal. for the most part i should have a positive k:d, but like +2 on average, I would think.

wow.. i'm terrible compared to you guys...

I get maybe 6 kills a round. I need some work. I find myself strafing a lot which seems to be a problem. Not to mention, i bet i have around 3 hours play time total so far. None in campaign.

I am finally starting to get first/second place consistantly. I had to change the controls to the 'boxer' profile, and start beating the shit out of every one instead of trying to finish them with bullets.

thats exactly how I am. my ratio is barely above 1.0 because of how often I die. My kills are always in the top amount but so are my deaths. =/

its says on bungie.net that my average kills are 7, but this is due to playing on the shotty/shipper bullshit, mainly on valhalla. when playing on a map with plenty of weapons i can easily get 20+ kills.

where do you find the average kills?

my profile seems to be outdated, says I have 36 xp Sergeant grade 2 when i'm somewhere around 55 as Gunnery Sergeant.

look under 'career stats' and do the math with your kills and the number of games that you have played in.

looking at all of my games, i am averaging just above 15 kills per game, with a k:d ratio of just about 2.0 . i really dislike a lot about the mvp award and stuff b/c it gives it to whoever does the best job at the specific game type regardless of how they really did. like if it is slayer, say i go 15-0 and you go 17 kills with 15 deaths, obviously one would rather be 15-0 and more beneficial to the team, yet it is giving the impression that +2 is better. there is a lot more in games than average kills per game, and kill to death ratio is a lot more useful when looking at an individual player.

i somewhat agree, but if someone had more kills than you he can be considered more valuable since he killed more threats to his team. i know i die a lot, but i wreck shit so bad that i am almost always asked to join the party.
