no, i know what privy is. to make someone privy is to let them know something private.


i don't know if that card was real. someone said something about jean-luc picard and that was the niftiest thing that came up on a google image search.

You misused privy in this sentence

The way you used it would take on the 2nd or 4th definition you posted, which would make the sentence mean the opposite of what you intended

To make someone privy is to tell them a secret. To make something privy is to keep it secret.
